  • Hi ladies,
I've had a full past two weeks. Made it through my last edd feeling almost at peace with being child free and then had my mom visit for several days before driving her down to my brothers. It was a wonderful time but glad to be back to just time with dh. We're not as cutesie and loving when people are around (don't want to make them barf) and I find I miss it.
And after my first cycle post IVF was ten days late, this cycle came three days early. Hoping this cycle is like the three bears and is juuuuusssssttt right. Want my old predictability back simply for planning purposes.

TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD.

  • Hey Buggirl, how are things with you this week? Thanks for the checkin! ((hugs))

Not much new to report here, just waiting for my ultrasound in two weeks then results from that and the bloodwork/pap/cervical biopsy to come in to know more about what's going on with my ute.  Of course all of that takes a backseat to my anxiety around still waiting for my head MRI results.  I have to admit I've exhausted Dr. Google with anything to do with 'pituitary + lipoma + sella turcica', unfortunately most of what I get is impossible to decipher medical jargon, not much in 'layperson' terms.  I know I shouldn't keep searching but it's hard not to.  Doesn't help I'm a teacher off for the summer with more than enough time to fret over things, gaahhhh!!

  • Happy Saturday ladies :)
@buggirl72‌ thank you for the check in today.

AFM not much here. I'm still learning to tint at my friends shop. I haven't driven them all nuts yet. I think I fit in more than they were prepared for. My sailor mouth, quick whit and sarcasm has allowed me to hold my own with the boys lol.
I'm in the middle of my tww. Temps are high but who ever really knows? Right?

((Hugs)) to those that need them today and high fives to those having an excellent day.
  • Happy Saturday! I think I missed the last check-in, but anyway, I'm newly AMA (turned 35 in July). I had surgery on Monday to remove retained tissue & we are TTA until October, when we will do meds + IUI. It's been a looong year, with me being benched for much longer than I anticipated . But hopefully the end is in sight!

  • Hi ladies!  I hope you are having a good weekend.  Thanks @buggirl72 for the checkin.  I am out of town again but this is my last trip here.  Monday after next I will be done with this job for good.  I have 2 separate jobs coming up that are each about 1.5 hours away from home (instead of 2 flights + a 2 hr drive) plus they have shorter "stints".  I am in my TWW and got my CHs today.  I thought we might miss my FW completely but at least we hit -3 before I left.  Not great but better than nothing.  I wish I could just fast forward through this week but at least we are down to single digit days.

@gscoville, good thoughts for your MRI and if you need help interpreting medical jargon let me know.  I may be able to "translate" into normal english for you.

HI all!  Nothing much new here.  Dh has been away this week (fertile week?).  I don't think I have O'd yet, and hoping it holds off for another day so that we can get at least one night of sex in as he will be home tonight.
I don't see any sign of O yet either so it looks like YH is getting home just in time. FX for you!

((((Hugs))))) I had my ultra sound on Monday and ended with more blood work. I've been spending to much time with Dr. Google also - it is just too tempting to stay away from.

I hope they get your results back to you soon so you can quit worrying about what the results might show.

  • Hey Bug & my fellow AMA loves! :x

I have a LOT going on right now:

    • Yesterday I got all my paperwork signed, notarized, and shipped off for the closing on my house in FL, which happens Monday (ETA: I am selling one of the two houses I own with my ex-H).
    • On Monday we have our follow up with the RE. I've already talked to my nurse and know that every single test has come back perfectly normal. I'm pretty sure my RE is going to recommend Femara and TI, and I don't think I am OK with that plan. I am not sure what our next step will be, but I'll know more on Monday.
    • On Tuesday I meet with my boss (she works from home on the West Coast and is flying in) to discuss whether she & the other execs will allow me to move back to FL and work remotely.

So, I'm kind of a bundle of nerves right now. If we decide to pursue testing and treatment with Dr. Braverman in NYC, this will likely get delayed by a month or two if our move back to FL works out. On the plus side, I've already gotten recommendations on REs in FL from RPL ladies who have had success, so that's comforting.

@buggirl72 ~ Thanks for the check-in, love. How are you feeling post-follow up? I don't do much FF stalking anymore because I never log in for myself since I'm on BCP, but I just stalked you and it looks like this last cycel was a few days longer than the previous few...

    *snip*
Yay for selling the house! I'm glad the nurse let you know that all the tests were normal but I know how incredibly frustrating that is also.  Is Dr. Braveman wanting to do TI also or was he waiting for the results to come up with the plan?

Eeek! I would be surprised if your boss says no but I know that yes brings a whole lot of changes to your life. I hope you feel better about everything after your talk with her.

  • Hi ladies-  I've been a bit MIA lately with work/travel, so I'm glad to catch up a bit this weekend. Started my 2nd post-loss cycle yesterday and the first was a relatively normal one for me, so I'm hopeful that this will be too. Waiting on the results from our thrombolytic testing and the OB said she was going to push the hospital on the autopsy results as well, so hopefully next week sometime, we'll have whatever answers that we are going to and we'll get our MFM referral. That will also help us figure out if we need to do more testing or when we'll be able to start TTC again- so a lot to come in the next week or so. I hope you ladies have had a good couple of weeks- there have definitely been a few changes around TTCAL lately, including some very wonderful ones for great ladies who will be missed but I am so thrilled for them.

    BFP #1- 4/2011; DD Brynn born 12/2011

BFP #2- 7/13; EDD- 4/2/14; Lost DS at 20 weeks (11/16/13) due to cord accident

BFP #3- 3/14; EDD- 11/28/14; Lost DD at 15 weeks (6/7/14)- cause unknown

To my angels- I held you every second of your lives and I'll love you every second of mine.

  • Hi and thanks for the check-in.  I am in the middle of writing this weekend for a Monday deadline so trying to stay away from the internet as much as I can.  I need to get all this done before we move in a few weeks and the semester starts here.

I finished clomid yesterday and go in next week for testing before the IUI I think on Thursday but I am not sure  of the exact dates yet.
  • Hi Ladies! Well, I am anticipating AF's arrival. Last month my cycle shortened by 2 days to 26 and that would be tomorrow. If she is playing nice this month it will be Tuesday. I will be making an appointment at that time to talk to my OB about my fibroid situation. I suppose in the long run it will for the best, but I hate the idea of being benched for 3 to 4 months (I think I will try to avoid January regardless). Anyway, that's about it for me.

@HoldingOutHope‌ I'm keeping you in my thoughts. I know you are having a really rough time right now and I am sorry for that.

Hi bug, I'd like to join this checkin.
I don't have much to report other than I have my post m/c follow up apt with the OB Monday. She will be starting some blood work testing and refer us to an RE. I'm still just emotionally numb. Keeping busy busy to get through the days. I'm tired. But it's when I stop doing, bumping or sleeping the brain starts going. Meh. Nights are hardest.
    Welcome and ((((hugs)))).

I'm glad your OB is going to get some blood work started so you will have some testing done before you see the RE.

If I decide to sign on with Braverman's practice, I'd need to do a bunch of additional testing before getting his treatment plan. He tests for a whole bunch of additional genetic and immunological factors, beyond what the RE has tested. He has also told me he would like to do an exploratory lap to check for endo, should I come to his practice. So many things to consider.

Bug, I know you've mentioned egg quality could be a factor with me. Quantity doesn't seem to be an issue based on my tests (info in siggy). But how might they determine egg quality is an issue, without doing and actual ER? I feel so clueless. And I also feel so lost based on the fact that the chromosomal testing on my last loss came back perfectly normal. WTH? I just logged into my Labcorp portal and got the actual results of my testing, including AMH, and I am just so baffled by everything being normal...
Honestly, I'm not sure. Your AMH number is beautiful. A low AMH just raises an assumption of a quality issue combined with quantity, but your number is really good.

Braveman may be wanting to rule out endo because that can effect egg quality - I know a lap is the only definitive way to diagnose it but I 100% understand if you are not liking the idea of an exploratory lap. They are not fun. If you do decide to go that route, push that you want it to turn into a surgical one if endo is found - because turning around and having a second lap for the surgery part a month later just sucks. Of course, he may treat endo by non-surgical means . . .

I just don't know. Can he do the other testing prior to the lap? And how much does your Lyme and Hashimoto's play into this?

Hello and a wonderful Sunday, lovely ladies :-) Thank you, Bug, for checking in :-*

I typed out individual responses, hit :save draft," and something (TB? my computer?) ate them. I'm so sorry! No time today to type them up again. Please know I'm thinking of you and appreciate the good company :-)

AFM, classes start tomorrow. I've already had one stress dream (I always get them right around this time) and will spend much of the rest today prepping class. On the TTCAL front, as you can tell from my signature, we've moved back to NTNP. I guess you could say I'm a bit miffed at the universe for throwing me BFNs even after having "great" timing several times, but I'll get over it (and I realize I really have nothing to be miffed about). I haven't changed my mind about pursuing more aggressive/proactive options, and I'm okay with basically filling out a lottery ticket every month for right now. Might have to reassess in a few months to see if it will make more sense to TTA at that point, but I'm not there yet.

Many (((hugs))), ladies. Have a wonderful week ahead!

I know how you feel about the timing and BFNs. I'm in the same boat. And while we haven't been at it that long it is devastating all the same. ((Hugs))

  • @buggirl72 thanks, just finished the chapter!  Not sure what to do now, probably nothing productive.

    ((HUGS)) to everyone.

@HoldingOutHope, I am not sure if this helps at all but my RE does not think my Lyme has anything to do with TTC except the little heart problem I got from it which just means cardiac monitoring during pg for me.  But, I haven't had problems from Lyme in a few years which may also be way it is not an issue.  .
  • Hi ladies. Sorry I'm late to the party. Big hugs to all of you, especially @HoldingOutHope.

AFM. I had my CD6 b/w and u/s this morning, and everything is progressing. 10 follies and estrogen was 188. Hoping for ER early next week.

  • Hi Ladies!
My name is Angela and just turned the dreaded 4-0! :) I have mostly been spending time in the Novemeber loss board but I just discovered this section, so I'd love to join.

Our story: My husband and I met 2 1/2 years ago via eharmony. We just got married 2 weeks ago but we've been TTC since Dec 2013. We had our 1st BFP March 2014, but had a MMC and D&C at the end of April at 9 weeks. We've been taking a break since then to plan our wedding and go on our honeymoon. With next month's cycle, I'll be returning to temping/charting and OPK.

I'm feeling very anxious at this point, that every month that goes by, is wasted time. My DH had the foresight to put the brakes on TTC before the wedding, much to my dismay - I felt like we shouldn't wait. After much discussion and acknowledging the high level of stress we were both under, we got on the same page for resuming next month. I'm now feeling excitement in addition to the anxiety. That 40 is an evil number! : /
