Well, it didn't pass. It turns out there were some big time problems that the owners were trying to hide. The inspector had been to the property before they had tried to conceal things and remembered everything half-way through.
It's back to the drawing board for me. I'm so relieved that everything was caught before I made my purchase, but I'm so ready to move.
@valstulas I'm sorry. I have been thinking about you and your boys and had my fingers crossed. I'm glad the inspector remember and I hope the sellers got in trouble. It is so hard to wait, but I hope the right thing comes along soon. How is the situation otherwise for you - you hanging in there? How is Owen doing?
@Audrey1787 I'm sorry. I hope LO gets better sleep and you can find some sleepy vibes being sent your way and fall asleep. I've been having the same issue...was just up and had to change DD because her diaper has started leaking at night (size doesn't seem to matter) Guh. she screams like I'm torturing her when I change her anyways so MOTN wardrobe and diaper malfunction and change were pleasant. 8-} I am now wide awake - and so glad the other kids slept through it. >:D< mama!
@Kitten80 Things are much more stable than they were a few weeks ago. I have a back-up plan and things have been much calmer. Owen is okay. He's having a really hard time with his afternoons and early evenings right now. I'm hoping he starts to settle on his own soon. Thanks for asking!
Slept for two hours before he woke up fussy that progressed to screaming. He calmed pretty quickly and is drinking some pedilyte now. @valstulas I am so glad the inspector caught that and things are calming down. I hope you find the right place soon. @Audrey1787 same thing happened with me and kimchee. I am only one that likes it so I buy small jars. During pregnancy I kept eating jars and having to drive to China town for more so, I bought big jar. I barely touched it. @dragonmom35 I hope he finds another comfort object or gets new Dragon soon. None of my kids needed comfort object as babies but ironically, since my divorce my DD uses one now. She has her baby blanket and stitch stuffed animal both are dingy because they are 14 years old.
Sorry for all the sick mommas and babies. @valstulas I'm glad to hear things are a bit more stable, I've been thinking of you guys.
So Adrian barfed 6 times last night before midnight. Six times. I ran out of sheets, had to use the pack n play and drag it into his nursery, and then steal the sheet from the nanny share kid's pack n play. Every time I got him down he'd start heaving 15 minutes later. Poor dude was a trooper. The initial barf would scare him but then he'd be ok. If it wasn't for the video monitor we would have never known....his first wake up, he threw up and then just sat up silently rubbing his eyes. He was covered when we went in. It was all nectarine and breast milk... :-&
My tummy hurt all night and then this am I pooped my pants (FFSC?) trying to get to the bathroom on time.
I'm laying upstairs in bed next to my sleeping child and I just heard the dog puke. Fucking A dude. I hope he puked on the area rug in the living room. I hate it and him puking on it is the catalyst I need for DH to let me get a new one.
Hugs to the mamas with sick babies. That's the worst
Teething hell sure does seem to be upon a good number of us! Ugh! Much coffee for sleepy mamas!
Adjusting to our new life in MD has been a bit challenging. Still trying to find the new normal.
One of my sisters is struggling with bi polar disorder and because she just turned 26 in July no longer has insurance and is not seeking any help. She just keeps thinking she can cure herself with diet and exercise but then lies in bed for days at a time because she's so down and only is productive when she's manic. She's all the way in California so I feel like I can't do anything for her and it's a sucky helpless feeling. I never know who I'm going to get when I talk to her...
Sorry to be so heavy but I just chatted with her this morning and I'm feeling very helpless right now.
@Erinm278 I really want to see the Avett Brothers. The best part about the show on Thursday was that it was at a local fair in an area close to where OCMS is from, so they put on an awesome show
@rondosa Sorry about the sick stomach! Hope it turns around ASAP.
I (sort of) took a bump break this week. @lancomechica got me thinking and I realized that I do my worst in any situation in uncertainty. I'm a decision maker and I've been living my marriage in this weird grey area. I am recommitting myself to making it work and I think that my attitude change will have a positive effect on the situation. Thanks to all of you for the continued support. Really.
Just dropped Allison off at my parents for her to stay the night. I have a work event today and then mom and dad are having a well deserved night off. Honesty it may just include going to sleep super early. Haha.
Things my sleepy brain forgot to mention in my update last night:
Luke's weight was up 3.5oz from our last appointment with Dr. Gut. That's not much for almost a month, but it was up. It made me feel kind of vindicated from the start.
There was also a speech pathologist at the appointment, and she said Luke may have a mild tongue tie, so if we don't find anything out of the ordinary in the swallow study we can look into that as a reason for gagging.
She also told us not to worry at all about still using bottles - we should use them as long as he needs them to get all of his fluids. And she gave us a honeybear straw cup to try and work on learning to use a straw.
Luke ate probably half a bag of yogis during the appointment and tried to share them with everyone in the room.
FKA mimi4347: diaper rash magician and unofficial expert on excrement
This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
I hope teeth pop through soon for all the teething babies! Hugs to @stephyfaith and @dliz87. Enjoy your vacation @martyn17!
We got back last night from a vacation in the mountains. We had such a great time and LO enjoyed seeing so many new things. I really wish we could've stayed longer. But I didn't have any time to Bump so I missed everyone. Hope I didn't miss much!
@rondosa Sorry about the sick stomach! Hope it turns around ASAP.

@muirmaid thank you for the thoughts! I actually did get to sleep last night!
But it was filled with stressful dreams (of course). My parents have been in a bad way, financially. My mom is miserable at work and wants to retire. She thinks the solution is to buy a camp trailer and live in my sister's driveway.
I've been considering selling the store and going back to work in the off chance I might be able to work my way back into an engineering (project management) job. That way we might be able to buy a larger house that we could share with my parents, and it might be possible for them to actually retire and enjoy life.
So last night I was having dreams that I had everything set up at work to get into an engineering position and that the house across the street was for sale.....
after the last few rough nights Jadzia slept great last night. She didnt wake up once MOTN...and woke up happy and chipper at 7am. Which for us...is early. DH and I never seem to get to bed before 2 regularly. Not sure which is the lesser evil...up for an hour or 2 motn and she sleeps until 10 or later, or happy early wake up.
We had a great time at the Beck show last night--every time I am at Red Rocks I feel so grateful to live in such a beautiful place!
We attempted to use training pants with DS1 this morning. We made it thru one 45 min cycle of keeping them dry. Then I thought I'd set the timer for an hour, and about 50 mins in, he peed in them. We are making some progress though, at least it was good practice. With our Lake Tahoe trip coming up this week, I don't want to do full-on PT until were back and not traveling for awhile.
Sorry you have so much on your plate, I second everything Liz said though @thegoodpotato
@stephyfaith I hope things get better as you adjust
Sorry about the house, but I'm glad they found the issues now instead of later @valstulas
I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, so more hugs for anyone else having a rough day >:D< >:D<

Question for my PT mamas--not really worth its own thread--what did your PTs have to say about shoes? Ours is recommending something sturdy to give support while standing--NOT robeez or anything super flexible. @LadyBlue07 , @mermomo5 ? I was looking for some baby Keens or something like that? His feet are still so little (maybe a size 2 or 3?) I feel like all we will find are crib shoes and super soft soles.

@denverbride2005, we stayed in Pagosa Springs, which is such a cute little town. But we actually spent most of our time exploring some of the nearby towns. We went to Durango, Silverton, Ouray
(which is so beautiful we may do our next getaway there) and Chama, NM.
I'm so glad you got a Red Rocks concert in! Even though I live really close to Red Rocks, I haven't seen a show there in 2 years. Next year I hope!
