I'm 32 weeks today, and I became a mom today!

After a blood pressure spike, they noticed my liver enzymes were way elevated (as were my white blood platelets), so they told me it was time to have these babies! Turns out, despite having awesome blood pressure for the past forever, I had "severe preeclampsia." Good thing I was already in the hospital on bedrest and they were checking all this stuff. Who knows what could have happened otherwise??

Baby boy weighed 4lbs 1oz, 17 inches long.

Baby girl weighed 3lbs 5oz. 16 inches long.

Both have full heads of dark wavy hair!!! So much hair!!

I'm back on magnesium for 24 hours so I won't be able to see them until tomorrow. I haven't touched them yet, and they said we might not be able to hold them for a week.. Which makes me sad, but I don't want to overstimulate them either. The babies are doing well- no ventilators and they're doing well on breathing. Both scored an 8 on their apgar test.

The pain from the c section is pretty rough so far, but I'm hanging in there and asking for meds as needed. Right now they're bringing me a pump so I can get started on that! In the meantime, the NICU is giving both babies donor breast milk- so glad that's available here!

Despite all of this, I am sooo thankful to finally be a mom. I love these little ones so much!!

    Yay congrats :)  Good luck healing and sounds like you have some feeder/growers on your hands.  Sounds like the babies will do well!  Wishing you a short hospital stay!

    Me:     30, DH: 32
    My hx:  uterus/hormones normal Dx: low AMH 0.5 = poor ovarian reserve
    hubby hx: low sperm count, poor motility, started on clomid, retest in May showed no improvement, will be on clomid another 3 months, another retest scheduled for August

    Started IVF #1:  ~BFP Mentioned~
    • ER (Thursday April 17th, 3 precious eggs).
    • April 18th: Received news 2 out of 3 eggs fertilized!
    •  Planned 3dt: Easter day, transferred two 8B embryos and received pictures :)
    • BFP starting 8dp3dt 5/1 Beta #1: 87, 5/3 Beta #2 206 
    • 5/19 Heartbeat 123bpm
    • EDD 1/8/15

    Congratulations!! Sounds like they are both little troupers :)
    First comes Love Nov 11,  2003, Then Marriage: Aug. 23, 2006. Baby??? TTC since May 2010. Started seeking additional medical intervention (again) Summer 2013, finally appointment is booked!

    Congrats! Those weights are fabulous and I hope you get to hold those babies soon.

    Don't worry about not getting anything with pumping. You get pretty much nothing until your milk comes in. It took mine two days but I did get some colostrum (sp?) on the day after I delivered. I hope the pumping goes easily for you.

    DX: Me - DOR & tubal issues, DH: none. 
    June 2004: Ectopic pregnancy with DH while dating
    October & November 2013: IUI #1 & 2 - BFN
    December 2013:Taking a break, trying on our own.
    January 2014: BFP!!!! Ectopic pregnancy ruptured at 6wks1day. Left Fallopian tube removed. Noted during surgery the right Fallopian tube is severely damaged from 2004 ectopic pregnancy.
    April 8 2014: IVF#1 w/ISCI: 10 received, 5 mature, 3 fertilized. Day 3 transfer of all three embies.
    April 22, 2014: BFP! beta #1: 80 beta #2: 211 One nugget!

    Oh good! This makes me happy to hear! I have new pumping every three hours and nothing.. But I know it has only been 24 hours since they were born.. I should get to actually see the babies fhis afternoon. I'm hoping that might jump start some things.

    Congrats mama!! Those are great weights for your babies and glad to hear that they are breathing on their own with no vents. T&P being sent your way that their NICU time is short and they can be in your arms before you know it.

    Congratulations!!! Great news that they are both doing so well. You're doing great with the pumping - it can take several days for your milk to come in, so don't fret. I'm so happy to hear you may see them today! I hope you start to feel better soon. I remember the magnesium, ugh.

    Thanks for the explanation!! My blood pressure is back to completely normal. Woohoo! I've always had low normal pressures (110/60 ish) so this just came out of nowhere!

    The incision site still hurts like crazy when I try to get up or out of the bed. They gave me a girdle-like thing to wear and that has helped.

    I hope it gets feeling better soon and keep on pumping. Even though it does kind of suck, haha

    I know as a mom who had a NICU baby I looked at pumping as my job. I figured it was the only way I could really help me baby at that time so I did it religiously. Hopefully that milk comes in soon but your babies were early so sometimes that slows it down a little too.

    I hope you get to see those precious babes soon!

    Me 29 DH 30 Unexplained IF TTC since wedding May 2012. IUI #1 11/5/13-BFN.  IUI #2 12/5/13-BFN. IUI #3-12/30/14. All three with Femara CD 3-7 and Ovidrel trigger. +HPT 1/13/14 First +ever!!! Beta #1 195 Beta #2 1/15-533. Ultrasound on 2/4 showed one bean. EDD 9/22/14. Team Green turned Team Blue-Baby Conner arrived on 9/19/14.

    Married August 2012 -- Me (40 yrs old) My husband (45 yrs. old) 

    RE referral from ObGYN in late Jan. 2013 -- Testing Confirms Unexplained IF 

    IUI #"s1 - 3 (Femara + IUI) April - June 2013 - all BFN

      Decided to do IVF... Began stimming on September 10th!  Egg Retrieval 9/20/13.  19 eggs: 6 to mature to freeze after 6 fertilized with ICSI

     3 morula stage embryos transferred on 9/25/13.....Beta #1 on 10/4/13/ = 7.5  Beta #2 on 10/6/13 =  negative

      IVF#2 - Lupron plan  (set to begin on 10/28/13)  (Planning on thawing and fertilizing our 6 eggs with ICSI as well as all of the mature eggs they retrieve with this fresh cycle.)

     Late October 2013 - ectopic pregnancy - methotrexate injection....benched 3 months

    CD1 - 12/5/13...Lupron set to start on 12/26/13; CD1 - 1/2/14....Baseline 1/3/14....begin follistim tonight and continue with lupron.  (Got my calendar today!  IVF#2 is a go!)

    ER = 1/14/14  (11 eggs....9 were mature. 9 fertilized.  Of the 6 mature eggs we thawed, only 4 fertilized.  At this time, we have 13 eggs fertilized and growing.  Waiting for news about a 3-day or 5-day transfer.)

    ET = 1/19/14  (5dt).....3 blastocysts transferred!   (All nine embryos didn't make it to freeze.  =(  )

    Beta #1 = 1/28/14   (2 weeks after ER)  BFP! 209 (9dp5dt)   EDD 10/7/14

    Beta #2 - 1/30/14  (11 dp5dt) 302

    Beta #3 - 2/3/14  (15 dp5dt)  1222 

    Ultrasound set for 2/17/14......TWINS!        Twin A - HR 124 bpm; Twin B - HR 126 bpm

    Final Ultrasound with RE 3/10/14 - Twin A - HR 176 bpm; Twin B - HR 177 bpm.
