Sienna Winter Jane
or
Sienna Jane Winter

Or should I stick to one middle name?
Sienna Jane
Sienna Lorraine
Sienna Maeve
Sienna Rose

Please kindly ONLY answer if you are in the US. Thank you so much :)

  • Personally  I would hate to have two middle names. It's jsut too much to write and hard to explain to people.

  • I like Jane and Rose (and Winter if it's under consideration for a single middle name), but strongly believe that it would be better to only have one middle name. Filling out forms would be more of a hassle and is a bit of a mouthful.

  • Sienna Jane is lovely.  I don't see the need for a second MN.

I'm also in the US and confused.
  • I don't understand 2 middle names. I would personally never do it.

  • If you like both middle names, rock it! I only have 1 middle name. My brother has 2. We compared notes and there's no staggering life difference between how many middle names you have! I dated a guy with 6. His parents were hippies. :-)

I prefer Sienna Jane Winter _____
  • I wouldn't do 2 middle names unless I had a major reason to, like naming my only girl after both grandmas or something like that.  But I wouldn't do it just for fun.  It seems like it could get confusing and would be too long for official documents, forms, etc.
  • I'm Canadian, I wanna answer!! lol I personally would do one unless both have great significance to you.

  • Not sure why you don't want my Canadian opinion but I'm going to give it anyway. I have 2 middle names and honestly it's a pain. There's always just one mn spot when filling out forms and it's annoying. I would only consider it if there were 2 family names that I absolutely HAD to use.. I think it's just kind of unnecessary otherwise.

  • I liked the idea of 2 MNs when I was in HS because my BFF had 3 MNs. However, I grew to think it may be more cumbersome than elegant. As a result all my children have one MN only.

My favorite on your list is Sienna Lorraine. From your 2 MN options I think the flow of Sienna Winter Jane is better.  But 'brown season'? Not a fan.

  • Sienna Rose is beautiful, and I like a Sienna Maeve also.
  •  One of my dd's has two middle names-not by my choice but dh's....anyhow, I'm in the US and we have never had any problems as far a ss cards or tax forms or anything like that. So I wouldn't let that stop you. Dd is 11 and likes her middle names.
  • I think one middle name is preferred unless it's something that's traditional within your family or culture. I don't understand why it's done otherwise.

Of the single middle name list, I like Sienna Jane the most. Keep in mind that Sienna is also a color, and so is Rose and Maeve. Unless two "color" names was intentional =)

  • @mjreilly2 You're right, I didn't realize the spelling was different. Thanks for pointing it out!

  • I'm confused as to why Sienna Winter isn't an option.

I prefer a single MN, but I don't side eye anyone who has 2.

Sienna Jane. I don't like Winter.
  • I'm not opposed to the 2 mns, but winter sounds like one of those salon names, the ones people who work at a salon use instead of their real normal name

  • I'm also Canadian and going to give my opinion anyway. I don't mind two middle names as long as it isn't too much of a mouthful and if it flows well. Either way, Sienna Winter Jane or Sienna Jane Winter, they don't sound great together. In this case I'd pick just one.
