I am a FTM due in November. I was lucky and got a bunch of second hand stuff from a neighbor at a great price. Items included things like a baby jumper, baby bjorn, play mat, pool float, infant carrier, stroller, high chair, crib mobile and car seat bases (not expired) etc. My MIL also got us a crib set including the crib, glider, book shelf, dresser and dresser changing top. Should I put these things on my registry and show them as "purchased" so that people do not buy them for me.

No. I highly doubt someone is going to randomly buy you a book shelf or a car seat that you do not have on your registry.  I would just leave all of that off the registry.

The only items I received that weren't on my registry were smaller things like clothes, wipes, picture frames, etc. 

I would only include big-ticket items if you would like an upgrade from one of the second-hand items you already received; otherwise, I don't think anyone would buy such specific, expensive items for you without some direction as to what you want, as PP mentioned.
