Just thought it would help to admit I have lost my mind this cycle ... Annnnd this is why smart girls just wait until at least 15DPO

My actual plan was to take a test @ 11DPO / 13/ 15 ...

But I got to reading about sometimes the OPK shows a positive too ... That was 10DPO ... So I may used up the rest of my OPK strips since then and may have HTP tested twice a day since then ... And I may have taken 3 yesterday (not admitting anything).
Still very BFN this am on 12DPO.

Just needed to rant ... Seeing my habits in black help me get a grip ... Lol

Ps this is only our 2nd cycle and it took 6 or so 2yrs ago but I still get myself all worked up ... You think I'd learn some zen relaxation by now!

Relax!  While you can technically use an OPK as an HPT, I don't think they're as sensitive.  If you don't want to wait another few days, I'd invest in some early-detection HPTs (e.g. FRERs).

I have seen worse. I know a lady that took 5 HPT's a day from 8DPO-14DPO. She finally got a BFP after 9 months of trying, but imagine the expense! 

5 a day x  35 a cycle (7 days, 5 a day a cycle) x 9 months x $8.00 each = $2,520! 

That's about half the cost of your hospital bill at birth! Haha!

Sorry for negative!   I've never used an opk as a pregnancy test, I know people do but I would just rather have the real thing.  Here's to hoping you took it too early!

POAS addiction is a very real thing and the waiting until 14 DPO can make you all kinds of crazy.  Don't stress to much.

There is a "crazy train" thread on ttcal that I joined today because I felt the need to test at 8DPO. BFN here, too. I feel you, though. I have been going nuts. Must...wait...till...Tuesday. Arghhhhh!

OPKs definitely can detect pregnancy. That's how I found out about DS. I wasn't charting though, so I can't speak to the sensitivity. I have no idea how many DPO I was. 12 DPO is still early!

Thanks ladies I know I'm not the only one but while sitting on the potty eyeing up the drawer that contains tests and having an entire convo with myself it can sure feel like you are the only one who could possibly be so nuts ... Haha.
I will look into the cheapies! And possibly the crazy train thread lol

I'm 11 DPO and I'm totally obsessing too however not testing because I spent way too much money on my opk's!! I'm constantly evaluating every cramp, mood swing, changes in boob size (or lack there of! :-)) etc...honestly I think I'm creating symptoms that aren't even there lol!!!! Hoping to test 18 dpo if i can hold out that long because my cycles range anywhere from 28 to 33. Let's try to relax and stay busy...maybe the days will go by quicker!! Good luck! Keep us posted!

lol......sorry ladies can't imagine!!!  As lots of my girls know......I didn't want to test when i was 9 days overdue for AF......I resisted!!!!!!!

Wish I could pass some zen onto some of you who get a little crazy! teehee! 

Maybe it will change for me when i actually WANT to be PG...we will see.

Nah....I will still be terrified I'm sure.

Wellllll AF arrived this morning (late last night actually) which is a total shock b/c I have always been 29-30 day cycles and this makes this last one 24 days ... Weird!
And since I had one last preg test left I STILL went ahead and took it this morning ... Lol. A little sad

Aw I'm sorry about AF arriving and early too. That is weird but maybe it's because of stress? Idk. FX for next cycle!

Ack, sorry about AF showing up and early! The way I'm trying to think about it is that it's all data collection that improves accuracy in the long term. Do you chart? I.e. do you think O moved earlier this month?
