Four month wakefulness at three months?

I'm pretty sure I'm losing my mind. Or I've created a monster. Or both. My perfect angel that has always had a great sleep cycle suddenly....stopped.
He has been wide eyed and bushy tailed since about 4 am. He went down at 9, up at 11:30, up again at 1, then 3. But he isn't crying...he's playing and laughing. I normally put him in bed with my after the first feeding (I know, I know....) which is usually at 4 am, but lately he has been thrashing too much for me to sleep.
By day he will only sleep in my arms or next to me. Otherwise he is all laughs and smiles all day wanting to look at the world.
Is it possibly the four month wakefulness hit early?? I'm so tired. But he is soooo hilarious.

It's so hard to be mad when they are so cute. Ds I'm tired whine is hilarious.
