Here's a pic from Saturday's bridesmaid dress shopping excursion. The bride's mom took us out for pizza before going to the bridal shop. I'm on the left in the anchor-print dress, the bride is the blonde one.
Oh, and I was late getting to lunch because my GPS rerouted me through some of Baltimore's more...um...blighted neighborhoods. By the way, why would one block need three bail bondspeople and two check cashing joints?
I showed up in a tizzy and couldn't figure out why the car was beeping at me so vehemently. Turns out the engine was still on (hard to tell with a Prius, they're silent at under 5 mph). Have I mentioned I hate that car?
Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN.
Update 11/14 - had laparoscopy 10/28, good news is that my uterus and left tube look good, and they were able to drain the cyst on my left ovary. Bad news is that right tube and ovary have endo and scar tissue, so they're pretty useless.. Best news is that we finally have some answers and a path forward. Taking 7.5 mg letrozole CD 2-6 to put that good left ovary through its paces.
UPDATE 2/2015 - We switched to another fertility clinic, but fortunately we don't have to start all over. We're doing two cycles of Clomid plus IUI, if neither of those take, we'll do IVF in April, potentially with ICSI. (DH's SA has gone downhill, likely due to excessive exercise.) IUI#1 2/25/15....
This is me on March 21st. This is what I dream of being able to experience one more time. I hope this picture reminds all of us that it is possible to achieve a healthy pregnancy after 35! I was 41 and it had been 11 years since I experienced the beautiful blessing of nursing my child.
@kelley72- Awwww....love it! I loved nursing, and try to encourage as many new mothers as possible to do it. It is great bonding, very healthy for both mommy and baby, and a great experience.
OK, so it's decidedly not my face...but we just got our wedding pics back and this is one of my very favorite ones!
@lgsdesigner, I know your wedding is coming up soon, you must be so excited!
@Austrogermokee that description of Baltimore is spot on...I used to live near DC and I swear every time I went to Bmore, I ended up turning down the "wrong" road at least once...it was never a comforting experience!
@hooligans4 what an awesome cake! such talent! When I try to even write "Happy Birthday" on a cake it usually comes out as some barely legible mess, ha!
@wannabmama23- HOLY lovely bride! Beautiful photo. Very classy dress.
@Icwed- Awww, such a cute classroom! Right after work, I am going to my son's "Meet the Teacher" to see who he will have for 1st grade, and am so excited!

@Austrogermokee I have a love/hate relationship with my GPS.
@kelley72 You are absolutely glowing in that picture. You definitely need another one.
@hooligans4 That cake is amazing. You are so talented.
@wannabmama23 I love the back of your dress. That shot captures the extraordinary way the bottom fans out.
Here are a few shots of my classroom. I am almost done getting it set up. I still have to hang the poms from the ceiling.
