We're winding down on these check ins! @LO95 When is your beta? 
My clinic seems to do them later than a lot, and I did end up moving my beta day one more day to Saturday 8/23 so I can deal with whatever news with my DH right then.

My DH and I had some good conversations mainly yesterday where I felt like he seemed to be more agreeable to plans of continued treatment if this doesn't work. Whereas before he was super hopeful about this and didn't want to talk about the $$ of doing more. Now he knows where I stand with what I specifically want to do, and he didn't disagree.

So now I am 7dp3dt and it feels like it's been way longer! Eight more days until beta.

QOTW: My favorite movies tend to be Christmas related... Love Actually, Elf, Christmas Vacation... LOL. I could probably think of some non Christmas ones but off the top of my head nothing is coming to me!

@jencity9 It's almost as if we are the August group, huh?

Um, my beta is supposed to be 8/25 but ain't nobody got time for that.  I'm going to push hard to go in early on 8/23.  Technically that will be 8dp5t, but I feel like a blood test is going to catch it at that point, right? ESP if I get a negative pee stick (::please no::) I don't want to have to miss work on Monday morning to hear about it officially.

We ended up with three frozen embies.  I was so pleasantly surprised yesterday.  By our contract we will have to move to a frozen cycle next if we need to another cycle.  But I have my fingers crossed for this little bug.  I've been cramping and genuinely hoping it's not my Endo come out to mock me.

QOTD: I find myself watching the Harry Potters over and over.  Something about the familiarity reassures my worried mind this summer. lol

Congrats on all the great betas, and FX for your betas @LO95 & @jencity9!!!

QOTD- I'm don't really have a favorite movie, but my favorite that I've seen lately is Guardians of the Galaxy. I was really impressed and surprised that I liked it so much (its more DH's style of movie).

My clinic absolutely would not do earlier. But yeah it should be enough for a home test. Maybe they want to be extra sure. I def wouldn't want to have to wait until Monday either.

Congrats on the three frosties!! I havent heard back so I'm assuming I have none but they are supposed to tell me by today so maybe I'll give them a call.

@jencity9 DEFINITELY call! I wouldn't have heard anything if I hadn't called. (Grrr.) But after what I posted yesterday I just felt like I deserved to know definitely what had happened to them, so I caved and called.  Fingers crossed you'll be pleasantly surprised.

AFM I have my first u/s on the 21st and I'm really excited to see what's going on. I had nausea for a few days but that's gone, which made me nervous.

QOFD: This is always so hard because I love movies. But lately I love Walter Mitty, such a good movie. And Harry Potter is a great go-to. I also really love Stardust!

I'm so glad you checked in! I personally don't think of it as rubbing it in anyone's face but more like you still being part of the group.. GL at the u/s!

Thanks @GrailSeeker14‌ ! I was wondering how I would deal with that in the same position... Like you have 2 or 3 betas and then you're expected to know nothing until u/s?? Lol.. I would definitely want more reassurance too. But sounds like a great second beta! GL at your u/s as well!

I called in to the RE and confirmed we had nothing to freeze..  
I'm trying to convince myself that those six not growing does not mean the two we transferred will do the same.. .I mean, logically I know that but still, lol! These two were at least doing much better than any of those.

keeping my fingers crossed for you @jencity9 and @LO95 for great betas next week!   Hope the next few weeks go really fast for you @GrailSeeker14 all the waiting is freaking hard.  I know my RE had 3 betas, then after the 3rd beta he had you come in a week later for a U/S and then the next week for another. 

congrats to all the BFPs and many hugs to thoses with BFNs. 

QOTW: I think maybe SuperTroopers.  it's funny enough I can watch it over and over again.  I don't watch a lot of movies though.

QOTD - I could watch Sex and the City, How to Lose a Guy in 10 days, and all those chick flicks all day any day!! I'm excited for the new hunger games and also like comedy's, not usually a fan of action.

@jencity9 The lab receptionist told me yesterday to feel confident that the embies that have been transferred to you were chosen because they are the very strongest .  She said it's not very common to have them to freeze and then the sad reality is that sometimes they thaw them and they don't make it. So hopefully that helps you feel a little better about the process, but I do understand why you're bothered about it. I'm also feeling jealous that you got to transfer two.  I was so prepared to fight for two and then I didn't even have two ready anyway.

@jencity9‌ -- sorry you didn't have any frosties. I def agree with @LO95, the transfer the best, and sometimes they feel things will progress better in a natural environment! Fx!‌

@LO95‌ I will admit I feel comforted that I have two, but the quality of each of them was not as great as hoped which is why so then I worry about that!

BFP warning



Hey ladies- I have my next beta a WEEK after my first. My first beta score was 354, which we felt great about... But not testing again for a week makes me nervous. Does that seem normal?? Everyone I've talked to had had them a couple days apart to see how quickly they're doubling. I'm about to crack and go into a walk-in lab and demand another test. I'm trying to convince myself that my RE knows what they're doing and that I should just wait it out... But I'm going nuts! What do y'all think?

QOTD: I'm a huge Barbara fan, so Funny Girl is one that always made me smile. I needed it a few times this summer. Or any Disney movie (just so I can sing along!)

I haven't heard of that... But I guess your RE has a reason for that. I would definitely ask when you go in at least for curiosity's sake!

Thanks @jencity9‌ I'm going to! I wish they'd just do it, it still doesn't feel real yet and I'm so paranoid about it all anyway. Argggh, it feels like the 2WW all over again. (Which I know you can relate to!)

@snedge -- I attempted to lurke the April 2015 mom's page (saw you there) and I just don't think I can do it. Too much variety and too many people that got KU'd naturally...I think I'm sticking to PAIF for now and then move to April 2015 after my 1st tri.

(Of course, naturally one of the first posts I saw was of the girl who got KU'd first try...I can't help but want to TP her...)

Where will everyone else go from here?

@jencity9‌ - I'm sorry you didn't get any frosties, but I'm keeping my FX that it's because you don't need them! And remember, they pick the strongest to transfer!

@bsanderson2‌ - GL! Every RE does things their own way, so I wouldn't worry about it!

@snegde‌ - GL tomorrow!

AFM- I've started bcp for our FET. As a side note I looked at my quant (I get records recorded online) and it had came back at 4 (under 5 is neg). I wonder if it's residual of the trigger or a cp?

AFM, I was stepped down on the Endometrin from 3x to 2x per day. Still on Estradiol 2x per day, and have my first U/S on Aug 22nd, my sisters birthday.
I also admit to lurking on both A15 and PAIF. I agree that A15 seems like a bit of a mad freeforall.
I feel in a really weird place right now. I don't feel right posting too much on 3T or IF because of the BFP, but don't feel ready to move on to other boards yet (at least not until after the U/S. So for now, I mostly lurk.
QOTD: my sister and I have so many favorites that we quote to each other as inside jokes. I think our favorite has to be Puff the Magic Dragon!

Holy moly! I just lurked for a long time on the 1st Tri board and the April 2015 board. Those girls are MEAN!! I'm absolutely terrified to post anything at all in those... They just attack the poor writer and literally call them names. I'm still shocked at the lack of decency. Yikes! X_X

Can we just stay here in our Sparkler bubble? I'm so glad you all are supportive, kind people and not like those other hateful women. This board has really been such a huge help! I don't want to leave!

There are some GENUINE creeps on TB; I kind of forgot about it because I've been on this board all summer. But even a few folks on the plain old TTC board are creeps.  I stopped getting on the site for many months during our "pre-IF TTC" because I didn't get much from them.  Totally different story here.  People are so supportive.

Fingers crossed for me.  I feel so down about our first attempt.  I have woken up in cramps every night since transfer, but they don't last long.  The problem is that I have Endo and so it's so hard to guess if these cramps mean anything other than what they always mean. I assume they don't, but it's just so hard not to analyze everything.

I am feeling soooo impatient and having waves of hopefulness and then waves of despair. Ugh. And I've been analyzing symptoms which I know is never good and likely progesterone anyway. Yesterday I had bad cramps that felt like AF was coming. They were in my back which happens about half the time with AF.

This wait is so excruciating! I just want to know one way or another!!!

@jencity9 YES! I know what you mean.  My back is hurting today too and I'm analyzing that it's hurting too high to be anything. 

I am also in a total progesterone FOG! It's sending me into a panic attack because I can't seem to figure out what I'm teaching when I go back to school. GAH!

@LO95‌ mine started around 5dp5dt and I've had them off and on ever since! They go from a sharp pain if I move the wrong way to a dull crampy feeling.The back pain is worst if I'm standing for too long. But yes, it all comes and goes. It's really only goes away if I lay flat on my back!

I still get off and on period like cramping...with the occasional sharp but short centralized pain.  I have googled to no end, and see a lot of people talking about it on PAIF, and have convinced myself its all part of the growth and change that is happening in there!!  FX yours is a good sign too!!!!
