Intro and back history mentioning losses

Hi all, I am a bit confused as to where is appropriate to post since I have an almost 2 year old already, but we are just beginning our journey with our RE dr. and havent had any cycles yet. If this is not the place to post, LMK. History: We had no trouble conceiving our almost 2 yr old and thought it would be just as easy with our second try. Well after 6 months, 3 losses, and exhausting the OB tests, we met with the RE dr. I am still in the (annoyingly long) miscarriage process so we can't begin treatment yet, but his suggestion is to go right to FSH shots once I am in my next cycle. This is all so new to me. Has anyone had these shots before? What is the pain level like for them? And how do you maintain hope when loss seems like the new normal? Thanks and I look forward to getting to know you all(hopefully If I am in the right board)

    12/3/14 - first u/s - two gestational sacs; 12/17/14 - two healthy heartbeats (132 and 134)
    Our IVF miracles were born 7/16/15

    Hi, well you might feel a little more comfortable on TTCAL, the majority of ladies here are doing IUIs or IVF cycles, it's up to you. Hopefully the shots will help. It depends on what type of injections they are, if they are sub q, you most likely won't feel the shot at all, but could feel the burning of the actual injection- if they are IM, then it'll be pretty painful.

    I'm so sorry you find yourself in this boat. And I am sorry for your losses. :(

    I know you mentioned just starting the process... Have you gotten any results on testing yet? I wonder why he is already recommending FSH shots.

    BFP #1 3/29/11.  EDD 12/4/11... Missed m/c 5/9/11. Cytotec fail. D&C 5/17/11.
    BFP #2   7/5/11.  EDD 3/14/12... Our rainbow Kellen born 3/14/12 via c/s.
    BFP #3 5/30/13.  EDD 2/8/14...  6wk u/s HB 126. 8wk u/s lost HB. D&C 7/12/13.
    BFP #4 2/18/14.  EDD 10/30/14... Ruptured ectopic with L tube removed & D&C 3/7/14.
    BFP #5 7/27/14.  EDD 4/9/15...  m/c @ 5w4d.

    IVF #1    Oct 2014 - antagonist protocol: 9R, 7M, 5F. 3dt of 3 Grade 2 embies. BFN. 
    IVF #2    Jan 2015 cancelled due to dominant follicle.  Converted to IUI #1. BFFN
    IVF #2.1 March 2015 cancelled due to dominant follicle.

    BFP #6  (SUPRISE!) 3/19/15.  EDD 11/30/15...  CP at 4w2d.
    IUI #2:    Clomid + Follistim = 3 follies. BFN.
    IVF #2.2 May 2015 - horrible response to micro lupron flare protocol: 3R, 3M, 3F. 3dt of 2 Grade 3 embies. BFFN. 

    BFP #7 (beyond surprised again!) 4/26/16. EDD 1/5/17. beautiful betas!!!! and then near-fatal hemorrhagic corpus luteum. turns out baby was ectopic after all; another lap 5/6 (@24dpo).

    No results on testing yet except that all bloodwork is normal. Having a saline ultrasound and hsg xray soon. Was recommending fsh shots bc they dont know what is causing miscarriages yet, so he think it will up my chances of a good pregnancy
