My high school German teacher is a Clara, she's about 60 now. I think it ages well.

My 93-year-old grandmother's middle name is Clara. It would be high on my list, but it doesn't work with our last name (too close to a historical figure).

If I have a girl I SO BADLY want to use Clara. But, hubby dislikes it and pronounces it different with his English accent. He says it like Clahh-rahh. Sad :-(
