  • I love Campbell's condensed chicken noodle soup.

It's salty and comforting and just reminds me of being a kid when my mom could hardly get us to come inside from playing to eat anything. We'd sit down for that.

I love Kraft Mac n Cheese....

    Homemade just isn't the same.

And I have no issue feeding my kid chicken nuggets 3 times a week.  It's protein and she eats it without a fuss.

Apparently it's unpopular to have a small craft space for myself in the basement.  We have a large U shaped desk in the basement.  My husband has 2/3 of it for his computer stuff and I used to have a desktop on the other 1/3 along with my bills and paperwork.

Since I've gotten rid of my desktop, my husband has decided to claim all of the desk.  Last night I looked over and video cards, motherboards, and several other things on it.  I yelled at him and told him I would at least like a small spot for my items.  This is about the 10th time I've moved his things over.  Aparently it's unpopular for me to have 1/3 of the desk when he has 2/3 and a huge work bench to use.  Which are both filled with projects.

I told J I wanted tomato soup with grilled cheese, and he got the condensed can of Campbell's, instead of the stuff I told him to get. I totally puked just opening the can, it was so thick and disgusting. I can only get behind this UO if someone else is preparing it for me. Ugh, so gross.

That's ok, I'll just sit over here with Stoney NOT watching crappy, laugh track tv sitcoms.

I love how much down time pumping requires of me at work.

However said "down time" is not conducive to pumping at work when I am surrounded by construction in every direction.  WTH is going on here?

Totally. I could only stand less than 10 minutes. So not funny and I despise laugh tracks. I'll laugh if something legitimately funny, not because your annoying "audience laughter" is telling me what's supposed to be funny.

I'm with @stoneycakes on the butter thing, but @TJ1979 on the Big Bang Theory thing. I love the humor on BBT, but OMG homemade butter. I'm not a huge butter person in general and never ate much until I decided to show my butter-loving boyfriend (now DH) how easy and fun making butter was. Oh wow. So good. It converted me back to butter. But only to good butter. That Land O'Lakes crap just ain't worth the calories.
    Another butter snob!

I get a little eye rolly when people ask for charity diapers on very expensive diaper brands. Like "I love *insert brand* but I can't afford to pay for one, is anyone giving any away?" posts.

This is in specific reference to a certain person on a certain brand BST/ fan page but I have seen a bit if it around lately. Weird.
I can see where you're coming from here. However, on the other hand it's pretty lame to donate crappy stuff. Like, only giving creamed corn to the food pantry (I feel like someone here loved creamed corn).

  • LOL.  I listed a ping pong table online for free last night.  I got a text asking what condition it was in and I told them it was perfectly functional, but it was slightly warped because it had been in storage so long. They didn't want it anymore!  I guess they were expecting to play regulation games on a free table, haha.

On the other hand, I hate people who put outrageous prices on used items.

Like baby clothes, I've seen people put $4 on an outfit at a garage sale and it's stained.  I can pick-up a new outfit, without stains at Carter's for 5-6 from the clearance rack.

haha I have seriously considered trying to make butter, and I intend to make mayonnaise someday when I find the time. I seriously doubt that making it myself will make me like it though lol
  • @Mapleme‌ I thought buttermilk had to sit at a certain temp for a while to clabber.

The thing that makes butter go bad is having too much whey left in it. So it helps to press as much out as you can after you make it and the salt helps pull more out (you can't add the salt until after it becomes butter or else it all goes out into the buttermilk). But if you go through butter at a decent clip, you can make it for the week and keep it on the counter just fine. It kept much longer in the fridge, but my picky butter taste buds started complaining around 3 or 4 weeks. But it is more expensive to make it than to buy it.
This is why I just buy the expensive butter at the store and call it a day.  I would make it if I had access to inexpensive cream, though.

Yeah, I've decided that Kate's butter from Maine is close enough for me. But I still don't like as much. And even most of the expensive stuff don't work for me. I really haven't been able to put my finger on what it is that I like/don't like. It's the difference between a food that I like and want to eat and a food that I don't like and don't want to eat. Except toast. That always needs butter.
We have a local dairy farm in our hometown that makes butter, cheese, and cheese curds.  I miss it...

The butter on things doesn't really bother me, but once in a while I really like a slice of toast with butter and jam while I sip my tea!
