So, Savannah from The Today Show had her baby.

When I was home with nothing to do after Stella died, I watched Today all morning. For the most part it was a safe distraction. Now that I have my rainbow here, there is no time for tv, but I did know Savannah was pregnant. It just kind of made me roll my eyes (it's still pretty hard for me to be excited about other peoples pregnancies).

I didn't follow her updates at all, but this morning I saw that a while ago she wrote a blog post about how she is aware that her joy and pregnancy may be painful for some viewers. She said she knows what it's like when you can't escape the constant reminders of what you don't have, like on FB, tv, your friends.

I guess having her acknowledge that her pregnancy might hurt some people, made me think differently of her, maybe it made me hurt a little less.

I just wanted to share it you ladies.

thanks for sharing this...I don't watch it a lot but I turned it on her last day before maternity leave and they were showing a mantage of everyone telling her how great it is to be a mom and how precious it is.  It really hurt and I know we can't expect everyone to walk on eggshells but I still thought it was a little insensitive to viewers with loss or IF problems.  I wonder if they've gotten a lot of feedback about it.

When I was home on leave after we lost Ben I turned on the Today Show and felt like I was punched in the gut. Am I a horrible person for being glad that I can watch the today show again without worrying about it? The few weeks ago at the gym there was Savanah on the today show, a pregnant reporter on fox with a story about a miraculous nicu recovery, and then a pregnant woman stepped on to the thread mill next to me. I texted my husband that I was being attacked from every angle!

That's very cool that Savannah was that aware. I had no idea.
