We are expecting a little boy in December. We are having a heck of a time coming up with a name. Middle name will most likely be Daniel after DHs father. One name we like is Zachary. I am assuming at some point people will call him Zack. I like Zack, but my BILs dogs name is Zak. Would that bother you? I worked in a vet clinic so I have always had a hard time with names that I have heard used on an animal.

My experience has been that people will call kids what their parents call them. Unless the kid tells the teacher they want to go by something else (that happened to a friend of mine who's son's teacher emailed home talking about Jake when she had always called him Jacob). DH and I are considering a name that my grandma's dog had when I was little, and it doesn't bother me.
