Which one do you give your LO for fevers? I've always given DD Tylenol but have noticed some of you give yours Motrin? Whats the difference? thanks ladies
Motrin (ibuprofen) is our go to. It works very well on fevers, better than Tylenol in my opinion, and it lasts at least 6 hours, and up to 8. So it's good for an overnight dose. If i get a break through high fever (my son is notorious for these), we will alternate both every 3 hours to control it.
I use either for teething. Tylenol works fine on pain too.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
I love Motrin more- quicker onset, lasts longer. However, Warner barfs 70% of the time when I try to give him Motrin... so our go-to is Tylenol. Silly baby (only likes Cherry flavor, but we want to avoid two red/cherry medications so there are no mix-ups or accidental overdoses)
!
Warner, our early surprise, born March 12, 2013!
