Trigger shot... I did it and feeling proud!

After my u/s yesterday the nurse said I would most likey need to trigger today, I thought oh no I'm going to have to inject myself! Totally nervous. I had blood drawn and she confirmed around 3:30 that I would need to do trigger today between 10 and 12. I was so nervous just thinking about it but when the time came I walked over to the ladies room at work and did it like a champ, with moral support from DH of course. I didn't feel a thing. All those nerves for no pain, now I'm just feeling a bit crampy, which I didn't feel last month. Tomorrow is day 1 of IUI, I got back on Friday for 2nd IUI. I just had to share. Apr 2012   - HSG (Normal), PCOS - DH SA (low count and low motility)

July 2012   - IUI #1, Provera, Clomid 50mg, Trigger Injection - BFN
Aug 12 - Feb 14 - Break
Feb 2014   - New OB referred to new RE
Mar 2014   - New RE visit #1
Apr 2014    - TSH  level elevated, need to retest.
May 2014   - TSH retested, higher than 1st test. Start on Synthroid. DH SA (Normal)
June 2014   - Start on DHEA, CO-Q10, New brand of Prenatals
July 2014   - Cycle came on its own, b/w on CD2, TSH (normal), Femara CD3-CD7, CD14 - u/s + Ovidrel + baby aspirin regimen. IUI #1 B2B on CD15/16 - BFN

August 2014 - u/s on CD3 normal, Femara CD3-CD7, u/s CD12, Ovidrel on CD13. IUI #2 B2B on CD 14/CD15 - BFN.

September  2014 - u/s on CD3 normal, Femara CD3-CD7, u/s scheduled for CD12

    YAY!!!  Congratulations on painless trigger shot.  Hopefully that cramping is a sign that its working!  Fingers crossed for you and good luck on the IUI tomorrow and Friday!  :)

    July/August 2014 - Testing complete: Testosterone & AMH very high, FSH slightly high, Vitamin D low, tubes and lining all lovely. DH SA: A+

    Cycle 1 (Nov 2014): 2.5 mg Letrozole/Ovidrel/TI = BFN

    Cycle 2 (Dec 2014): 5 mg Letrozole/Ovidrel/TI - BFN

    Cycle 3 (Jan 2015): 5mg Letrozole/Ovidrel/TI - BFN

    WTF consult scheduled for 1/29

    Wow that's great! I had mine done at the office and I'm glad it worked out because I was so nervous (being the first time). I hope the IUIs go well!!

    July/Aug. 2014= Femara+trigger+TI=BFP!!
    Beta #1@ 16dpo=626!! Beta #2=1510
    Ultrasound @ 5w6d=heartbeat at 110!
    Ultrasound @ 6w6d =heartbeat at 131!

    Hooray for you!  My RE always has me trigger at night before bed so I make DH do it because even though the needle is teeeeny tiny (and I feel nothing at all) I don't want to actually see it go in.

    IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN
    IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!!
    Beta #s = 445;1,098; 9,545  -- EDD 5/2 -- Team Pink!
    Camila Josephine arrived 4/30 :)

    Yay for you! Giving it to yourself messes with your mind. I'm over being nervous about being poked anymore, but sticking myself is another story.

    Usually make my husband do it, but when I have to myself I do feel like such a champ afterwards!

    @lindy04aggie - yes, with DH moral support and a lot of courage i poked myself. I was lucky last month that i was ready during my u/s appointments and the nurse gave me the option to have it done by her or at home, of course i chose her. This time i had no other option :( , but that just made it more challenging to do something that im afraid of.

    Thank you ladies for the well wishes and to those who think you can't do it YES YOU CAN!! Just think that the end result can be a little miracle ;).

    Woot woot! I'm always so impressed when girls give themselves the trigger. You're pretty much a badass....or I'm just a weenie. (I'm gonna go with both) Good luck with your IUIs. I've got my FX for you!

    All of you ladies are such rockstars. I can't do it. The one time I had to give myself a shot I ended up crying and had to ask my manager to come in and do it for me! hahaha. I'm a drama queen. They embrace it ;)

    March 2008 - DD born - no issues conceiving (surprise). Limited issues during pregnancy/delivery.
    June 2011 - Married DH.
    June 2013 - Diagnosis of Endometriosis and PCOS (approximate).
    December 2013 - First cycle of Clomid - Positive OPK. BFN
    January 2014 - 2nd Cycle of Clomid - Positive OPK. BFN
    February 2014 - 3rd Cycle of Clomid - Positive OPK. BFN
    March 2014 - Took month off to prep for surgery
    April 2014 - Laporoscopy for endo. Unable to remove endo due to too close of proximity to ureter. HSG done as well. Fillopian tubes open.
    May 2014 - 1st round of Femara. Positive OPK. BFN.
    June 2014 - 2nd round of Femara. Moved to RE to have CD10 Follicular U/S. No Follies in left ovary. 5 follies in right. Largest follie 8mm, 1 7mm, 2 3mm, 1 2mm. Positive OPK on day of U/S. BFN. DH has SA done at this time - All results within normal limits.
    July 2014 - 3rd round of Femara. CD10 Follicular U/S. No follies in left ovary. 7 follies in right. 1 20mm, 1 12mm, 1 10mm, 4 <5mm. Scheduled for IUI. Canceled due to low estrogen level of 145. TI this month. Prepping for Injectables next month. BFN.
    August 2014 - CD3 BW Normal. Injectables not happening because of stupid miscommunication about "required injectables class." Taking class this month. No medication. TI for the month. SIS scheduled for 8/7/14. SIS results - "I have a beautiful uterus." Huzzah!
    September 2014 - Cycle cancelled due to stupid AF coming early and making my IUI run in to DH's business trip. Try again next month.
    October 2014 - Injects with IUI cycle. 75U 5 days. Estrogen at 36. Bumped up to 125 for 4 days. Estrogen 105. Bumped up to 225. Ganirelix for 2 days. 4 mature follies. Triggered 10/9. IUI 10/10.
    BFP 10/24/2014. Beta #1 - 178   Beta #2 - 398.   U/S 11/7/14- TWINS!!!!

    yay!!! It's not as hard as our minds make it out to be isn't it. I found even thought I've been trained to poke other people with needles (phlebotomy though, not injects), it took me five minutes of holding the needle to my tummy before I could insert the thing the first time!

    That's my biggest fear, giving myself the needle! Sounds like it's not so bad!!! Nice job.

           Protein S Deficiency, Sjorgen's Syndrome 

    IUI #1-5: BFN
    Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy: minimal endo, partial septoplasty
    IVF #1: 10R/6M/6F ~ Day 3 ET = BFN
    IVF #2: 14R/9M/5F ~ transfer canceled ~ all embryos arrested at 1-2 cell stage
    IVF #3: 9R/5M/5F ~ 1 frosty!
    IVF #4 (FET #1): BFN

    IVF #5 (DE IVF #1 with Dr. KK protocol): Currently PREGNANT!!!!!!
    Synthroid + Prednisone + Metformin + Baby Aspirin + Supplements Galore = 15+ pills a day
    Lupron + Lovenox + Delestrogen + IVIG + B/W = 2-5 pokes a day
    19R, 17M, 17F - transferred two Grade A blasts 11/16, four frosties!!!
    Beta #1 11/24 (13dpo/8dp5dt) = 367 ~ Beta #2 11/26 (15dpo/10dp5dt) = 709

    June 25th: HSG normal
    Dx: After 3 SA's, MFI (low counts, 0%morphology)
    Currently: Scheduled for IVF-ICSI cycle #1 in October
    10/31/14 ER 13R, 9M, 9F
    11/5/14 ET of two 5d blasts
    Beta 11/13/14!
