TMI Discussion: Queefing

This is a little embarrassing to discuss but I just want to know if others are experiencing the same and it could be pregnancy-related, or if my body is just acting weird for no real reason. The last 3-4 days I've been queefing multiple times in the middle of the night. I had never really queefed until after DS was born but it was seldom even then. Now all of a sudden I feel like the queef queen. I am one of those that usually walks out of the room or goes to the bathroom to fart so this is beyond my comfort level but I can't help it. I just chuck it to pregnancy but I'm not even sure how that could even be. Anyone else? STMs?

Re: TMI Discussion: Queefing

  • LOL. Well, I haven't had any bouts of extreme queefing yet, but I'm sure you are fine. That does suck though, in terms of being embarrased.

  • I totally couldn't help but LOL, really hard at your post OP...sorry! I have not experienced this side effect myself, well not yet anyways. I'm gonna go with Elmerald on this and say it's due to things loosening up! I hope you get some relief very soon!

  • I had issues with this after DS1 when we resumed relations. However, my vaj is so swollen right now there's no room for anything in there! Hubs complains that I'm too tight.

  • I had queefed approximately 1 time in my whole life until a few weeks ago.  In the past month, it's happened a few more times.  It's not uncontrollable or even audible, but I can feel air coming out every once and a while when I change position.  Especially after sex.  It's just air getting trapped in there and when you change positions and the pressure in your abdomen pushes it out.  From what I understand, it's usually totally normal and nothing to worry about!

But, this is about to get totally TMI.  Readers below beware.

In really really rare situations, it can be caused by a fistula or connection from the rectum to the vagina.  BUT, as long as it doesn't smell like a fart and there's no poop coming out of your vagina, that is not what's happening.
Okay, at least I have none of that!
