WDYT of Alba?

I've been obsessed with this name for almost a year now and it's on my list. I don't talk baby names in real life so I am curious to hear feed back on it. A little girl named Alba brings a smile to my face.

I like it, but I like Alma more. It's a little softer. Both have pretty meanings, though.

DS2 had one in his swimming class this year. I'm just not a fan. Possibly because I assumed the mom named her after Jessica Alba at first.

I prefer Alma. Alba sounds like an 85-year-olds parents were trying to be yoo-nique. I'm sure it's a real name, just sounds funny.

I'm going to dissent.  I don't like it.  Alba doesn't sound pretty to me.

Alma, Ara, Ada, Ava, Ana are all heads and shoulders prettier, IMO.

I can't say I love it but I don't hate it because it reminds me of the daughter in The Time Traveler's Wife, which I LOVE

My first reaction was that it reminded me of a product. Are there Alba beauty products? Like several PP, I much prefer Alma. But I'm also sure if I really met an Alba I'd get used to it.

My friend has an Alba. Didn't love the name at first but it has grown on me. She's a sweetheart.

It's an old fashioned name that I want to love, but I just can't stop thinking "elbow" every time I hear it.

I don't hate it but I thought or albacore tuna at first. I think alma is a little nicer too.

Can't say I like it. My first thought was Time Traveler's Wife, then Melba toast.
