So first off I totally originally posted this on PGAL! Sorry if you are getting so many notifications.

Hello Ladies!  So I also have to begin off with a PSA:  I am excited and sad to say that next week will be my last check in.. The time has come for me to move to the third trimester.  I am so excited to begin the final leg of my pregnancy (which I still struggle with realizing it is real) but am sad leave you all.  I have enjoyed being the check in leader.  But we will need to find a new one?  Anyone interested in taking on the job?  You do not have to do the personal updates, I enjoyed doing it this way but you don’t have to carry it on (it adds a lot of work).  <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

AFM:  Last week I spent in NM with my inlaws.  My MIL is not doing too great and we decided to take an emergency trip to see them.  She seems to be doing better and we are hopeful that they will still be able to make the trip here in September for my shower.  Unfortunately tho my DH spent a portion of our 5 year anniversary in the ER with his mom.  We were very lucky that we took an evening about 2 weeks ago to celebrate our anniversary early, so it was not too big of an issue.  No appointments this week unless you count my very first chiropractor appointment, I am pretty excited about this and found out that my insurance also covers therapeutic massage with it also.  So we will see if that helps the back pain.  Baby is doing wonderful, she is getting consistent with her moving, I can count on her to start squirming around at about 12, 3, and then another time in the evening normally around 7 or 8.  She is not a morning babe at all!! I am wondering if the movement on the inside is consistent with what her pattern will be when she is on the outside? Anyone know?

I hope everyone is doing well and hopefully we will find a volunteer to take over the check in, but for now you guys have to put up with me for one more week! J

Hi everyone,

Going on 19 weeks on Thursday.  A/S is also Thursday. 

So went to RE office yesterday, not for me, but for hubby.  We are still trying to fix his testosterone/sperm counts and after 6 months on clomid...no changes   I've been meaning to call the financial lady at the RE office but we have been so busy, walked in and found out we got a 20% discount from our insurance and she said we had a $2,000 credit!  She was like do you want it?  Of course lol.  So that brings our IVF bill down to $6,000...I can live with that!  Hubby will be on meds for another 6 months, new dosage, then retest. 

We worked on nursery this past weekend some more, blinds/electrical outlets/door now installed.  We just need to paint and hang closet doors.  We will wait on furniture until I'm further along in pregnancy but probably will get it done before baby shower, so we can organize the presents more easily.  I'm looking at getting furniture from IKEA.  Babies just grow so fast, we don't need anything too fancy. 

Lately have been working on organizing 3 baby showers.  Two friends of mine are hosting two showers for me (one is for a close group of friends/other for family/friends not in that circle).  One will be mid Oct and the other in November at a restaurant (so booking the space now).  I'm also hosting a baby shower for my sister-in-law who is 5 weeks ahead of me the end of September.  So we have been busy with that! 

And thanks @Ashris13 for doing everything again!  Good luck in third tri!  I bet it will go fast

Congrats on being so close to moving on to third tri @ashris13.  Let us know if the chiropractor helps your back pain. I have been considering going to one for mine too.

AFM -- WE MADE IT TO V-DAY! I am pretty pumped!

All is well here other than she has taken up residence on my sciatic nerve and it hurts. I could hardly walk Sunday. Some days it is worse than others. I am looking for anything that will help relieve the pain.

We put together the dresser this weekend. It took ALL day but it is done! All that is left is the changing table topper and to hang the pictures on the wall.  We are still waiting for the rest of her bedding to arrive. It should ship this week. Little girl moves all the time and I feel her constantly.  I am like @ashris13 in that I can start to predict when she is going to start kicking away.  She is getting on a schedule.

Hi everyone.  I'm two days shy of V DAY!  (Due date 12/5).  Our baby girl is kicking lots, so my DH can finally feel it now.  

No doctors appointments until 8/26, so just trying to manage my diet big time to help ward off high A1C1 levels again (boo, PCOS!).  I miss dessert!

I'm not a movie person- with all this baby stuff to do along with regular life stuff, it's hard to sit still!

@ashris13 -- Thanks!  I did the same thing! I love those target deals  I got the cover on Etsy.  Our bedding is all done with the same fabric. The lady who did the boppy cover also did the changing pad cover. Her etsy shop is called isewjo. She has done some great stuff and has lots of boppy covers!

I am 22w5d and I had an appointment yesterday.  Everything went well, and we mostly focused on my next appointment which will include the glucose screen and TDAP vaccine.  She mentioned the baby was still hanging out sort of low, but it's nothing to worry about.  I am going back tomorrow for a cervix check.  She said my last measurement was super long, she wouldn't expect this to be any different.  My next full appointment isn't until 9/12.
If I had to choose just one favorite movie it is probably The Labyrinth.  The move that I wish I never watched is without a doubt The Human Centipede... it is actually worse than anything you can imagine!

@ashris13 - congrats on moving on to the third trimester!  I'm right behind you - can't believe it.  I'm also considering going to a chiropractor (did before I got my BFP) as my back hurts and I'm sure everything is out of line.

Had my 24 week appt last week and it went well.  I was given the lovely drink that I will have to drink before my 28 week appt.  Oh joy.  Baby girl is moving around in there and I absolutely love the feeling!! 

Finally rearranging rooms this weekend, which will give way to painting the nursery (thinking a light gray) and buying furniture!  My glider came in yesterday and I love it and I have the bedding, just need to bite the bullet and buy the crib/dresser/chaning table. 

QOTW: So sad about Robin Williams, saw him do stand up a few years ago and he was very funny.  Movies - I have so many favorites and have seen quite a few duds.  DH loves going to the movies, so we go probably 1-2 times a month.  I'll have to do some thinking and then maybe I'll edit this later.

Ashris13 - congrats on moving on to the 3rd tri!

AFM: I think I felt the baby move / flutter this morning.  I got up around 6 to use the bathroom and then crawled back into bed to sleep a little longer.  I was tossing /turning to get comfy and felt this flutter / bubble... maybe it was gas or my stomach - but I have never had that feeling before so maybe!  Now I can't wait for it to happen again! 

We are heading off on vacation Thursday - FINALLY!  This summer has been ridiculously busy - have been traveling 8 weekends since finding out we are pregnant (family commitments, etc) - so we are really looking forward to some down time, especially since we only have 4 weekends between now and the end of Oct when we won't be traveling for something or other!

@ashris13 Congrats on getting ready to move on! Pregnancy still doesn't seem real to me at all either. When I feel the baby move, it takes me by surprise and it takes a minute for me to realize that, oh yes, it's a honest to goodness baby in there!

We had quite a busy week last week! We found out that our baby is a sweet GIRL! We took DS with us to the appointment and he was so adorable when he found out. He wanted a sister so badly. Over the weekend, he had a reveal party for his grandparents that he planned all by himself. They loved it!

I have my follow up with the OB today from the scan and I'll have another cervical check today. Hopefully, there aren't any changes. The printer was broken where I went to have the a/s scan, so they said they'd do another scan today so we could get pics. We're excited to see her again!

QOTW: I'm in shock about Robin Williams. I loved his movies and many of them rank on my favorites list. However, my favorite movie is In the Line of Fire. Children of the Corn is definitely one I should have never seen as a teenager! It completely freaked me out!!

Update:  I had a regular OB appointment last week and everything looked great - beautiful heartbeat and measuring right on track (despite the "you are so big" comments I get from everyone!).  Next on the agenda is the glucose screen  at the end of the month and my last 4 week appointment the first week of September.... can't believe I'm at that point already! 

QOTW:  So sad about Robin Williams - I feel for his family.  My favorite movie since I was younger has been Big with Tom Hanks... I don't know what it is about that movie, maybe the fact that it's a little kid and he gets to have this cool job and live in an apartment in the city, who knows!  I can't think of a worst movie right now but I'm sure there are plenty of bad ones that I wasted a few hours of my life on!

17 weeks 2 days today! I feel like a broken record because I keep saying the same thing - I'm feeling really great physically but I've been a little anxious the past week or so. I'm mostly worried (hopefully irrationally) that the baby isn't growing properly. I just don't feel like there's much going on in there. Most of the feeling have died down and I'm not really growing or gaining weight. Tomorrow I have a regular OB appointment and I'm hoping that she'll tell me that everything is fine or help me figure out what I need to do differently.

Right now I'm waiting for the results of the integrated screen. I'm hoping that they call today so that I have the results before my appointment tomorrow, but who knows. We have less than one week until our anatomy scan and I'm still really anxious and excited. I'm just praying that Baby looks nice and healthy!

QOTW: I was sad to hear that yesterday. Depression and suicide are both terribly sad and scary.

I don't think I have a favorite movie. There are some that I will watch over and over - Wayne's World, the Harry Potters, umm... - I'm not really a big movie person. Off the top of my head, I know that I hated Groundhog's Day and The Family Man.

24 wks tomo, so vday! I'm so excited to make it to this point. I finally made it FBO but putting up a recent pic of our family. I'm very obviously pregnant. We just got back from a Disneyland vacation. I moved a little slower but it wasn't too bad overall.

I haven't met with the coordinator o the preterm labor prevention program but will on Monday after my reg OB appt. I also have another growth ultrasound scheduled for thurs the 21st which seems so far away right now.

QOTW: I love pitch perfect and can't watch scary movies because I'm a baby haha

Ashris13  congrats on moving on to third-tri!  Also my due date is technically Feb 3rd but because they are twins they won't let me go past January 12th ( leaving my due date in feb is fine if you don't want to change it though)

I am 15 weeks today!  just when I think my morning sickness is over BAM! Last night I ahd to pull over on the side of the road and deposit my dinner. ugh.  My 16 week scan with OB and MFM are next week!  Can't wait to see/hear my babies!!

QOTW: I have too many favorite movies... I love love love Somethings Gotta Give!  I recently watched RIPD ( Ryan REynolds and Jeff Bridges) it was HORRIBLE.

Hello everyone! 

I am 21w3d and had our a/s last Thursday. Baby's brain, heart, spine, and organs all look great.  All limbs are accounted for, and we are officially team PINK! Starting to feel her move around quite a bit these days and it is awesome. 

Well shit, I was super shocked and upset to hear of Robin Williams passing.  I am a huge tv/movie watcher.  I am a HUGE Star Wars fan, and I like a lot of action movies.  My all time favorite is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.  (Huge J.Depp fan here too) Worst movie ever? That is tough because there is a lot.

Hi all, I think I missed a few update threads... I'm 24 weeks tomorrow- V-Day ! Totally surreal to me after all our cycles. Pregnancy has been much harder for me than I imagined. I'm still vomiting daily and seem to have pulled muscles in my back from the force of throwing up. In agony. I see the MFM this afternoon and am asking for different reflux meds as I think the vomit is actually stomach acid and if physical therapy would help? I csnt heal the pulled muscle bc I rip it every morning while puking and then am useless the rest of the day from the pain...

I "may" have felt the girls move yesterday. Still not sure..

I'm 15w4d today. Still taking the Zofran, but feeling so much better! I am eating again and I really never believed that would happen, ha. I have my monthly OB appointment on Friday and will schedule the anatomy scan then. I can't wait to see her again. I've been feeling little flutters from her, which is absolutely my favorite part of pregnancy.

QOTW: I am so sad today thinking of Robin Williams and his family. I have so many favorite movies, I always have a hard time picking. Wall-E is definitely at the top of my list.

I’m 20 weeks today and no complaints. DH and I picked up the crib/changing table combo and mattress this past weekend so the next purchases we are looking into are a glider, curtains, and a dresser. We are also starting our registry next weekend. My shower won’t be until late October/early November, but I am going to be swamped with both jobs the month of September so we’re going to go ahead and get it out of the way now.

 

QOTW: I love all the HP movies and also all of Wes Anderson’s films. I also love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The worst movie I’ve ever seen would have to be Idiocracy. I borrowed it from a friend who raved about this movie and I hated it. I don’t know if I’ve ever been physically upset after watching a movie like I was with this piece of crap. I want those minutes of my life back.

I had my 20 week A/S yesterday.  Everything looked better. We got to see all the parts and it was awesome. I will be monitored for growth restriction throughout the pregnancy.  I feel a little better about the pregnancy now.  I think we will be officially out with the info soon.  I told work.  I have a tiny little bump that can be obvious or hidden depending what I am wearing.

@ashris13 congrats on moving on to 3rd trimester and we did not make our announcement yet.  Just hasn't seemed like the right time.  But I guess no time is the right time.

AFM:  I made it to VDAY!!!!!  I had an ultrasound Friday and the baby looks fantastic.  He is measuring big too!  They could find nothing big or small wrong with him.  He was weighing in at 1 lb 9 oz and length of 25 weeks.  At my Dr appt on Monday they don't see any reason for me not to go to full term but they did change my due date to Nov. 30th.  I know when I'm due but i'm tired of fighting with them.  I keep saying we did IVF there can't be any discrepancy with the due date.  My BFF is sending out the invitations to my shower.  I never thought I would have a shower!

16w3d and feeling good! Had another OB appt this past Friday. I was looking forward to it, and it ended up being very lackluster. The OB I saw was a very new addition to the practice and he acted like he had no idea what he was doing. I ended up emailing my OB- head of practice- to follow up.

We leave for Aruba later this week and we are excited for our babymoon! Also started shopping for some new clothes with my mom & sister today!

QOTW: I am bummed about Robin Williams. I think many of us grew up with his movies and my personal favs are Good Will Hunting and Mrs. Doubtfire. Mental health and a addiction are sad but true realities. I feel for his family.

Not much to update, been very busy with work as I've had a class each week on top of having to work night shift. Lately I guess IF brain wants to poke its head out again I've been checking the babies more often on the doppler and their heartbeats are both always very strong :-) next apt is at 20wks which is two weeks away can't believe I'm almost at half way point! I can feel them move a little more often but still waiting for that obvious strong kick or twist! And shopping for maternity clothes is hard work!

QOTD: I am extremely saddened by Robin Williams' passing (as is the entire world I'm sure) he was truly one of a kind and there will never be another! One of fav movies I'll choose one of robins, patch adams! And a movie I wish I never saw is Precious, it was far too explicit with certain scenes it really just made me feel sick. There are issues that need awareness (like abuse) but there is a way to bring about awareness without filling ppls head with garbage they cannot forget.

23 weeks and 3 days today, and we have a fetal echo scheduled for Thursday. My OB recommended it, and we were able to squeeze one in before the window closes. Other than that, I am thrilled to leave on Sunday to Cancun for our babymoon. It's so much needed, and DH and I are really looking forward to getting away one last time. Not going to be able to take advantage of the all-inclusive drinks this go-around, but she's worth it!

I am 25 weeks, 1 day and still feeling good.  Just had an ultrasound and babies were 1 lb, 6 oz and 1 lb, 7 oz, which is right on track.  Nothing new to report in terms of the nursery or names.  We are still stuck!  

QOTW:  Favorite movie is a tough one!  I have a lot of favorites that I could watch over and over.  You've Got Mail is definitely in my top 5

AFM: We had our appointment last night and I feel like I can finally breathe! HB at 148! I was so worried that I'd messed up in some way and so glad to hear that everything was good! We also FINALLY got the results back from the Maternit21 tests and everything cane back chromosomally normal! And we are TEAM PINK! It's been an emotionally packed week so far. Sadness about Robin Williams passing then anxiety about the doc appointment and finally just pure happiness that everything is okay!

QOTW: I loved loved loved Sister Act as a kid. To this day, it is still one of my go to movies if there's nothing else on. The kinds of movies I regret watching are scary movies. I end up needing the lights on to sleep. My dh didn't believe me till we watched a scary movie together and I couldn't sleep ... lol!

Congrats @ashris13! What a milestone! 

As for me I've been sort of MIA. Week 24 here! 

We decided to undertake a major house renovation before (hopefully) LO gets here so my life has been pretty crazy. Because of the reno we are going to bench the nursery planning which turns out to be a blessing since we are still team green. Babe is moving a lot... sometimes I love the reassurance, other times it gets pretty uncomfortable and now the acid reflux/heartburn has started. I have never experienced it before so it's such an intense burn that I'm not used to.

AFM, I've been feeling good. 21 weeks tomorrow! Can't believe it! Definitely feeling baby girl more lately and last night I felt the first real kick where I actually saw my stomach move! This can happen and 21 weeks right?! It's not just in my head! I guess that means hubby may be able to feel her move now too that mean so well have to try that! A few days ago I had like a lot of baked beans bc I love them and I had the worst gas pains for like 3 days. Totally regret that! Finally feeling better from that. I had my reveal party this past weekend and revealed to friends and family that we are having a baby girl! It was a lot of fun!!

AFM, sorry I've been slacking here w/ updates! I'm 25w3d w/ our twin girls. Can't believe I'm getting close to the 3rd tri. I had an U/S yesterday - babies are doing great, measuring about 2 pounds each. Cervix still looks good too. I'm still getting morning sickness (joy) and definitely slowing down a little, but otherwise feeling good!

QOTW- Adam Sandler movies are my favorites. He cracks me up!

@Ashris13 congrats on making it to third tri, will be sad to see you move on, as you've been an awesome check-in leader! See you over there in a few weeks!!! AFM: 18 weeks today and it's my birthday, one of the best birthdays ever as next year I will be a Mommy on my birthday, so exciting! Hoping to plan our babymoon soon, and we're also in the process of looking for a new house, moving from the city to the suburbs, so lots going on before baby arrives in January!!! Great to see everyone else is doing well!

22w2d, just had an OB appt today and everything was great.  I measured at 23 weeks but it's normal to be off by 1 or 2 I guess.  I'm glad cuz I thought my bump is kinda small.  

I haven't eaten spicy food for a week now.  Baby is still unpredictable.  Last Friday I had a chai latte from starbucks and she kicked for a good 12 hours.  However, she seems to be quite for the past two days. I enjoy feeling the kicks but she startles me sometimes

I finally got asked by a male coworker if I'm prego.  The weird thing is I only go to this location once a week and I've only been going there since July (he's only seen me 5-6 times).  I find it interesting that the coworkers who I see way more often haven't noticed but he had. 

QOTW: It's hard to name a favorite movie, I'm such a girl when it comes to movies cuz I like chick flicks.  When it comes to the worse movie, I have to name Human centipede.  I actually have not seen the movie but people have told me about it, the thought of it just makes me sick!

@heleng5 Maybe they have noticed but haven't said anything (to be polite).  It wouldn't be nice to ask you and then find out you're not pregnant!  I know a few people who have been asked if they were pregnant when they weren't....they felt like crap afterwards!  I would never ask even if I noticed. 

AFM, I'm up soo early!  Anatomy scan is at 9am and I have butterflies.  I was up late last night working on announcement cards for 4 hours, going to drop them off at post office after scan!  Getting excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

For some reason I'm on the list twice...I don't want to take up valuable real estate ;-) I'm due 12/15 with a surprise! Team Green!

Had an appointment today for 22 weeks...pretty boring lol. Although I did not like the doctor!! We were having such a good streak meeting the whole practice. I felt like this guy was talking over me. Although I'm biased against male OBGYNs. But I liked the other dude I met with.

Anyways, nursery is painted, crib is assembled and we're ordering the bedding tonight because the crib looks so bare without it! We're also installing carpet in the nursery so we have somewhere to do tummy time

nothing much new here. Just plugging along...Feeling baby kick more is fun. I will go bac to specialist for fetal echo next week, so just hoping he is doing okay!

@Ashris13 thanks for doing such a great job on the check ins!! Congrats on moving onto the 3rd tri! I'll be joining you over there and understand how it feels surreal.

AFM: I'm a bit late to the check in since we are on a mini-vacation. My husband has a cousin getting married in NYC this weekend - so we are here for 5 days. So thankful for nice temps and no humidity!! Before we came to NYC, we had our niece for a week a 7 year old and being pregnant is exhausting, but her and I had a blast. She is excited that she will be getting 2 new boy cousins and loves the nick names I have for the guys. Other than that heart burn is kicking my butt (still) and I'm pretty darn tired everyday. My next appointment is on Wed and I get to take the lovely glucose test. I signed up for a local breastfeeding class (the lady is dubbed the milk whisper) and parenting class. So everything is starting to feel very, very real!

QOTW: I was so sad to hear the news about Robin Williams and feel for his family during this difficult time. He provided so many laughs during my childhood, growing up in the 80's and 90's. My all time favorite movie is Gladiator.

@Ashris13‌ thank you and congrats on 3tri!!! I saw a new OB at a new practice on Friday, and it was so much better there, I love my new OB! Anatomy scan will be in about a month, I can't wait! I'm 16 weeks tomorrow, everything's looking good. The appointment went well on Friday, lots of blood work (they took a pint of blood from me!). We got to hear baby's heartbeat and a quick ultrasound. Fave movie: Home Alone!
