Ill get this party started.

I had a good appointment yesterday afternoon, I got a little freaked when she couldn't find the HB (I haven't been able to find it on the doppler either) so we got to head into the U/S room for a sneak peek and get to see the little munchkin.  As soon as I say him/her flipping in circles I felt so much better.

Blood is taken, now the wait for panorama results.

@bhjones1980‌ The two week wait for the results are the worst. I suggest signing up for a Quest account. It will email you when they are in. And yay for finding (and sneaking a peek) the hb.

I was sprayed by a skunk last night while I went for a walk. I knew I should have stayed home and had ice cream instead

My shoulders are killing me this morning, barre was challenging last night! I'm also exhausted, and really don't have much work today which just makes the day draggggg. Blah.

Today I have a 6 page paper to write in which I have to write my own case study to examine. I'm at a loss for where to go and have been for a week but the paper has to be submitted electronically by midnight. Also, I have to take DS to chuck e cheese for an "us only" b-day celebration, do laundry and get grocery shopping done. Busy day! I'm glad I can hop on here and there anytime if day to laugh and decompress.

Id love to know what magical power target has that it makes it that I CANNOT LEAVE there without spending 200 dollars.

On the plus side, my actual total was 265, but cartwheel malfunctioned and gave me EVERY coupon so by the time I was done my bill was 226.

On the up side...I get to find out if my LO is a boy or girl today!!!!!

Yay for a dancing munchkin!  Does the panorama determine gender too, and if so will you be finding out?  I had an ultrasound yesterday too!  Not a lot of movement for mine, but a good heartbeat and a "very cute nose" per the u/s tech.  :x  I think he was napping.... like mom wants to do after lunch every day.

Target has magical powers over me too. I can go on a Monday and by Wednesday I'm already thinking "maybe I should run by Target today and check out their clearance".

Working from home today and all I want to do is take a nap.  Can you call it a nap if you've only been awake for an hour?

I'm going to the braves v. dodgers game tonight. Despite the fact that this is something I have known and talked about for a while, up until last night I was planning all the work (making a presentation I have to give tomorrow at 9am for one) I was going to do at home after work tonight (*facepalm*) so now I have a SHIT TON of work to do AT work to try and get everything done before I leave because we are spending all evening at the braves game (there is a wheezer concert after - so it will be a loooong night - so I can't do any work after the game)

Also hoping it doesn't rain on us. which would totally suck.

@ChickenOnSunday that is awesome!  We always have holiday drama around here with both sets of parents living in town.  They are always arguing over who gets who for which days/times/meals.

This year, screw them all.  I'll be a HOUSE and my doctor even said to expect the babies in early January, so they better come to me.....

@sugahcookie01 Good luck today!  We always have afternoon ptoo and it makes me NUTS.  I'm a morning person and I'm ready for a nap by the time my 1 or 2 PM appointment rolls around.....

I had really messed up dreams last night.  The kind where you wake up panting like a dog from being out of breath in your dream.  I was on some huge campus and ended up getting mixed up in a foot chase of some sort by accident.  Then I was finally in a nice cozy apartment, but I left the flat top stove on and DH put ALL of our belongings on top of the stove and burned the bottoms of like half our clothes, furniture, etc.  Odd.  I think eating cereal at 4 AM is working against me.

My grandma passed away on Saturday. I was feeling so sad because I was in Dallas for a convention, and my family was home in MD. I know my being home had no impact, but still.

She was discharged home from rehab on Friday afternoon on hospice. And passed at 10:00am Saturday morning. But DH went to the house and spent time there in my absence, and he got to talk to grandma before the funeral home took her. He told her I loved her.

I told her about the baby about six weeks ago, since I knew she wouldn't be here when I was ready to share with everyone. Apparently she was so happy and told my uncle, who put my two children and the third on the way in her obituary. That was a big surprise, but apparently grandma thought the baby was coming in December! So I guess it will be two months late

I am not going to find out what the sex is, but the spiritual side of me thinks it may be a girl. Maybe I will name her after grandma.

Anyway thanks for letting me share.

I had my 12 week checkup yesterday, and my son went with me and saw the little peanut sucking its thumb today is the NT screen, and family starts arriving today. The next few days are going to be crazy. I have to do a reading at her funeral, I just hope I can keep it together without crying. DH has been asked to be a pallbearer.

I went to accupressure last night for my migraines/sciatic nerve pain, and I am a convert. It was amazing. @sugahcookie01 @irishcurls she worked in my shoulders for a long time, and at one point (when she was working right above my elbow) I just felt my entire back and shoulders release. I don't know how it works, but it totally does. I'm going back next week, and I can't wait.

AFM: I'm in a serious funk. Im having overwhelming anxiety. I think that going public was system overload for me. It was shortly after we announced the last time that I had my loss... so now Im feeling like its going to happen all over again. I was expecting to feel more relief, but I've been in a tailspin since yesterday afternoon and I dont know how to kick myself out of it. Has anyone else felt like this? Or am I being a special cookie?

HUGS!  it is normal to feel that way after a loss, it is the memory of what happened before taking over your brain.

@jaztastic‌ oh no you are not overreacting. I would have felt the same way. I believe that people wish the best for us but it's just too overwhelming. I would have been a mess in your place.. Try to calm down and think positive. Hugs coming your way. Try meditating like Sugah suggested. Maybe it will work.

I know exactly how you feel- you're not being irrational! I'm apprehensive to announce as we've had two prior losses (though we hadn't announced them yet), but stay tough. I agree with sugah- relax and meditate when you can. Everything will work out great!

@ChickenonSunday Just a random note that I have actual memories as a small child (aka not ones that my parents told me about later) of LOVING Sesame Street, and my mom swears up and down that it taught me to read at an early age -- we always had the closed captions on, because she's hearing-impaired. Just noting that it's a pretty good babysitter!

And dammit, Thanksgiving and Christmas ARE at such inconvenient times with a Feb pregnancy, aren't they? Neither of our families are in our area, so we've decided to go ahead and fly out to my in-laws for Christmas, but make that my last trip pre-pregnancy. I'm going to try to see if that means I can convince my parents to come to us for Thanksgiving, so I don't have to fly so much in those last months. But I'm not convinced that that won't cause drama (why are you going out to them but you can't come out to see us, etc.), so I've been putting off talking about plans with anyone... fun.

@jaztastic I think your anxiety is totally normal, just get through one day (or one hour) at a time. Take some time to validate your feelings as normal, take a time out and maybe focus on something non baby related for a bit--Google a new recipe or a new hairstyle. Just something to change the moment, you know? You are doing everything you can for your baby!

@sugahcookie01 I might listen to that meditation. DH and I were just talking about meditating--he has a medical condition exacerbated by stress. Good luck waiting until 2! We'll do the important appts in the afternoon for DH's sched too, ugh.

I worked myself up into a crying fit earlier... My cousins wedding is in a week and a half and I'm incredibly anxious. I'm starting to really show and I've been completely avoiding my extended family. When they first found out about my SO and how he has two boys all they could say to me was wow four kids? (I have two girls). I don't feel like they'll be happy or supportive whatsoever and I don't think I can handle my parents not being thrilled (my mom is stuck on how we're not married and my dad gave me a sarcastic slow clap when I told him), PLUS my dad's side of the family side eyeing me the entire time. I'm considering not going and letting my brother take my place since my parents paid for the ticket and hotel. I know they'll still want to take my girls whether or not I go (it's always like that, I'm an optional addition) so I'm hoping it's not a big deal.

@umbcpt I just wanted to note that it's SO sweet that your grandma made sure to include your child-to-be in the obituary. It sounds like you have a lovely family, and I hope everyone makes it through this upcoming period with as much love and grace as possible.
