  • We've been following EASY since he was 7 weeks old. It's working well for us and makes life a little more predictable
  • We follow EASY as well. DS is somewhat into a routine. His mornings are fairly predictable as far as awake, eating and nap time but things slowly loosen from there throughout the day.

My LO is pretty predictable about waking up at 6:30, but everything else is up in the air. He does eat, play, and then sleep, although the last two days have been difficult. He got his shot at one month check up on Monday, so I think he's still cranky/sore. He's tired, but fights falling asleep despite all of my efforts to help him.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is EASY?

    Edit: he's 5 weeks old...

LO is 13 weeks, and pretty predictable at this point.

I started logging her bottles, naps and playtimes about a month ago, and then created a loose schedule for her based on her most consistent habits.

I looked at the log I was keeping after about 2 weeks (I had marked her best days- when she was happiest, slept the best, ate the best... ) and just helped her try and repeat what she did on those days. We now have a super consistent schedule that she actually created for herself!

-She wakes up between 7-8am, we play for about 45 minutes in her room, then she eats her big bottle (7oz). After eating, she takes a morning nap 1-2 hours (no longer than 2hrs or I wake her).
-When she wakes we then we get dressed -out of jammies- and play for another hour or so.
She then eats a small afternoon bottle (about 4 oz) and stays awake just entertaining herself in her crib or swing or rock and play while I eat lunch and do light housework.
She will usually fall asleep after an hour or so, and I only let her sleep for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half at most if i need some extra time to do anything.
-After her short noon nap time she will stay up the rest of the day, taking one more small bottle about 4pm.. (this is the part of the day I call "activity time" where we will go do things: play dates, grocery shop, runs to target or any other outings, sometimes we stay in and just play).
-Then about 7pm she has her bath and we put on jammies.
-She then eats her night time 7oz bottle and is asleep about 8pm.

She sleeps all night- until 7ish the next morning!

  • We have not settled into any type of routine yet. But he just turned a month yesterday. Maybe soon.
