I am on CD 3 and waiting for my RE's office to call me back and let me know whether or not they want me to take a break or start trying for IUI #3.

ETA: RE called back...looks like we are moving ahead with IUI #3.

QOTW: I am a Louisiana girl and I make a damn fine gumbo.  I can't easily link to the recipe but anyone that is interested can PM for it (it is WAY too long to copy/paste in here).

Hi ladies! The massive cyst on one of my ovaries has disappeared, so we're doing IUI #1 this month!

So far: CD 3 and started clomiphene 50mg. DH is also taking clomiphene--for 1.5 months so far. We're not expecting this IUI to work, but we wanted to try one before we start thinking about IVF-ICSI.

Food: DH and I love to cook together. Our recent favorite was this salmon burger. It was so yummy! :)

  • BFN for IUI#2.1

Doc got back to me and confirmed that our chance of success with any given IUI is at most 10-15% and probably lower due to MFI. As a result, we're taking some time off while we get organized to start IVF.

QOTW: Usually it is the one we are currently eating. I love food and both of us are good cooks! One we've enjoyed recently is chicken satay. I loosely follow the recipe since I tend to make about four times the recipe amount. To make it easier and quicker (though probably a little less tasty), I don't bother putting the chicken chunks on skewers. I either fry them in a pan or bake them in the oven.

  • GL for all y'all in your 2ww!

I'm 6dpiui #1. Always holding out a little hope with DHs super sperm but I only had one follie this time. We shall see!

QOTW: I'm always cooking something, I think it's the southern girl in me. I also make a mean gumbo @kmdecoux‌! Today is my first official day back at school so I opted for a crock pot meal. Pulled pork sliders are one of DHs favorites. Super easy and always a big hit.

    4 lb shoulder butt roast
    2 T liquid smoke
    1 liter coke
    Garlic powder

Sprinkle roast with garlic powder, add liquid smoke and pour the coke over top. Cook on medium for 6hrs. Drain liquid, shred and add a jar of head country BBQ sauce. I serve them on those Kings Hawaiian rolls...I'm pretty sure anything is delicious on those things! Easy and so damn good!

  • I'm CD 3 as well, @kmdecoux and @MrsLolaSky. Just picked up my Letrozole to prep for IUI #7. First time trying this med so hoping I respond well. Mid-cycle ultrasound set for CD 11.

The meal that comes to mind is the one my husband made this weekend. (I'm more of a baker.) Seared tenderloin steaks in a super hot cast iron skillet with butter, then finished off in the oven. Meat heaven. And since AF decided to show up, it was perfect with a shared bottle of red.

  • CD 8 over here, looking forward to my ultrasound on Wednesday morning. We did my first Gonal F shot last night, and it hurt a lot compared to the Ovidrel. I can't figure out if we did something wrong... or if I'm just a big baby.

QOTW: Our favorite meal lately is Roasted Red Pepper & Goat Cheese pasta. Just puree roasted red peppers and pour them in a skillet. Put about 2 oz of goat cheese, a nice sprinkle of grated parmesan, and let simmer while pasta cooks. Add in some salt, pepper, garlic. Mix with pasta and top with extra goat cheese - pure heaven!

  • IUI # 2 was bust. :( I found out right before our vacation, so I did get to drink a good bit while we were at the beach last week.
I'm on CD 9, prepping for iui # 3. Same protocol so far (2.5mg femara cd3-7). We went in to talk to the RE today to see if there's anything else we should do, and that didn't go so well. I'll give her that it was the end of the day and all, but it would have been nice to have more of a conversation instead of everything going so quickly. She's usually pretty good, so I don't know. She did point us toward another study to read, so there's that. Also, my u/s looked good- one follicle at 16mm and another at 14mm. Last cycle my follie was a slow grower (only 15mm on cd 11; I generally O cd14-cd16). No beta day yet.

QOTW: I think my favorite thing that I cook is chicken cashew nut. MMmm. The mr's favorite thing that I cook is shepherd's pie. He doesn't really cook much.

Good luck to everyone in their 2WW I can't wait to hear some good news!

and I'm excited to read about those who just did IUI #1! Thats so exciting!!

Currently CD10 for me... still just chillin and waiting for the GIANT leftover follicle to disappear so we can do IUI #2 next month.

QOTW: I love this new recipe I found! It is ridiculously easy and its so yummy! I make it at least once a week now! (I put bread crumbs, garlic salt, and conners seasoning in the hamburger meat & only use 1lb of ground beef) https://www.betterrecipes.com/blogs/daily-dish/2013/05/29/easy-cheeseburger-sliders/
  • Good luck to everyone in the 2ww and to those that are gearing up for a new cycle!

AFM: I am STILL in the 2WW. Currently 12dpiui#3. POAS day is Friday; hopefully, I will be able to hold out until then. DH and I have high hopes for this IUI but the longer the this 2ww goes on, the less hopeful I feel. Only time will tell.

QOTW: DH does not cook at all and that is probably for the best. Our favorite meal that I cook is taco casserole.

  • So, I just went in for my 3rd u/s within the last week.n  The first two showed nothing bigger than 5-6mm, but my lining was good at 8mm.  Today, I have a 9 on my right ovary, with my lining at a 9, which is the biggest it has ever been for me so far.  As I said in my other post, I was ready to call it and move on, but given that I had a 3mm jump in 2 days, I'm gonna be stuck in this holding pattern.  I'm waiting on the nurse to call me later this afternoon with my labs and give me instructions, but I'm sure I will be getting probed again on Friday.  *Sigh*  This has been a rough cycle for me, and it won't let me move on.

QOTW: I love baking Southern food, I grew up in the South, and Fried Chicken with all the "fixin's" is my favorite dish my mom would make.  A close second is Sausage gravy n biscuits. :)

  • I just got cancelled. :( My estrogen hasn't increased at all, so the little follicle growth I did have meant nothing. I start prometrium tomorrow. WTF appt isn't possible until 9/16, unless they can get me in sooner somehow. It looks like injects or IVF (maybe) is our next step from here. What a mind fuck, I started to think maybe things were moving along after my U/S, and it was sure I would be going back on Friday....to this....again. I have developed a lovely headache, and I'm at work. :(

Still on a unmedicated break, and still in complete shock that I O'd on my own without medicine during our break. I just got my 7dpo progesterone results back 15.5!!! Wow! This was higher than my cycles on the Clomid....go figure. Well if this natural cycle is BFN we will start an injectable cycle with new RE in September.

I make really great spaghetti. I am always asked to bring it to family functions. And my DH makes smothered porkchops that are to die for. I have requested that he not make them until I lose 3 more pounds. I couldn't take the temptation.

Ultrasound shows both kidneys in spite of UU.
HSG showed clear tube on the left side.
Lap Surgery performed 1/9/14 to remove fibroid and endo (Stage 3)

They are going to talk to the office manager to see if I can be squeezed in before his procedures one day, or they may open up another day. There is a chance, but I'm trying to not get my hopes up about it.

  • 3 more days of BCPs, then time for the real IUI#1 cycle...I don't even care that the IUI will probably coincide with the first couple days of teaching. I would skip a sibling's wedding at this point just to get a shot of concentrated sperm in my ute.

    LOL OMG that's hilarious! hahahaha

I bought my Letrozole and one vial of Puregon today for next cycle. I'm working nights for the next week and if AF comes early (she's due a week today) it would be a real kink in my sleep schedule to pick it up. I figure one vial will be enough to buy me a day or two to pick up some more later.

I'm still hoping I bought it for no reason and that AF will not show up next week .... a girl can dream right?? :)
