TTC After a Loss

Chiropractor Question

I finally made an appointment for this afternoon with my chiropractor to adjust my back. However, I know the paperwork to update my medical history and even a conversational "how's your summer" will come up; but I'm not sure whether mentioning my loss is relevant nor do I feel like telling any more people than necessary. I know that some women have also used chiropractics for fertility so I'm wondering if it could be related to my sudden onset of problems that he needs to know about it. Everyone's bodies are different so I understand it's not a one size fits all kind of question.

Anyone have experience with this or how did you decided to inform or not inform your other doctors?

Re: Chiropractor Question

  • I have been going to a chiropractor for years (not fertility related) and have not told him about my loss, mainly because my issues existed before I ever started ttc.  I personally would only say something if I was pg.  If you think your problems could be related to a loss, maybe ask your RE or OB if the symptoms may be connected before the chiropractor?

  • I agree with Eurydice. It's part of your medical history. I disclosed mine on my patient Info. Good luck!

  • Thank you ladies! I listened to your advice and told him what had happened. He thinks the stress is what caused my back to flare up again, so I'm hoping that after a few more this week the pain will go back down.
