'talking' at 8 months?

Hi everyone,

I keep reading that my 8-month old should be babbling by now. She makes sounds, but doesn't really use consonants; so no Momma, Dadda, Babba or Gagga.  She definitely makes sounds - but they are more like screeches and humming.  Should I be concerned at all?  Thanks!!

Bring it up at your LOs next pedi appointment, but it sounds quite normal to me.

Mine does the same thing, and he's about 7 1/2 months. I wouldn't worry.
