Need hugs today (nothing bad)

I just dropped off J at daycare. We have our para orientation thing today(videos and paperwork all day) the dcp picked her up and was talking to her, she seen me leave, but didn't cry. I got a little teary and had the lump in my throat. Tomorrow I have another meeting for only 3hrs and another Wednesday, but Thursday and Friday I plan on hugging her tightly all day.

  • Aww! Sending hugs your way! She is going to have so much fun today! Whenever you start feeling sad just think about how much fun she's having. That's what I did all weekend when I was at work. It worked for me :)

  • She'll do great and so will you! I sometimes get sad when I drop off my daughter, but then at the end of the day I hear about all of the great things she did and I see all of the kids she played with, and I know that it was a good day for her.

  • Aw! It will get easier each day. I hope she loves daycare and that will make it easier for her. I still miss my baby but having videos and pictures on my phone I can look at during the day helps.

  • That pictures is precious. My DD also started DC recently and it was tough to leave her there, I was definitely more emotional about it than she was that first day.. She only started crying at drop off on day 3 and then it lasted about a week (poor DH did all those drop offs). I know DD has a great time at DC, my mom does pickup and tells me that the "older" kids (2 yo) will want to give her a hug before they leave.
