Bye,bye summer...

It's back to school for me today, with three days of inservice and students Thursday and Friday. It also starts the marathon of weekends with plans and showers until baby arrives. Anyone else saying goodbye to summer this week?

Also, 7 wks 6 days left, where the hell did time go!? I've got sub plans, insurance issues, and ten thousand sticky notes with "to-do" lists stuck to my frig.

You go back early! Sorry your summer's over, but have a good first week back. Maybe it will make the next 7 weeks fly by that much faster?

That seems so early! My fiance is a teacher, and students start back second week of September, I think.

I feel like summer is getting more and more hectic; every weekend seems to be booked and busy until into October for me!!!

Same here, I actually made DH sit down and help me decide what to cancel between now and the end of September.  There was just too much.

Good luck back at school @pckfn4life!  My brother started last week, around us starts next week, but I know some friends don't start until after Labor Day!

I'm starting to get calls for tutoring but thankfully school doesn't start until the 18th.

I feel ya! I started back last week. My feet and legs are so swollen that they feel like they are going to bust. I have 7 weeks left as of this Wednesday but I am not sure how I am going to make it. It seemed like I didn't even have a summer break. I lost my dad this summer to colon cancer and I pretty much spent the whole entire summer with him because I knew he wouldn't make it long. He was diagnosed in February and died in July. I hope you have a great week back I will be thinking of you.

@amstevens78‌ sorry for your loss, I hope you were able to enjoy that time with him. Thanks everyone, it was a LONG day, but I hope school keeps me focused and my mind off the "what ifs" as far as baby goes. Welcome back to all other teachers and enjoy what's left of your break to those lucky ducks that don't go back til September!

Oh wow! Now that your back to school I bet time will fly!! All of our weeks and weekends are completely filled until October. And I am perfectly okay with that!

Today was our first day back with a Professional Development meeting all day. Tomorrow we have the day to work in our classroom and Wednesday I have students. AHHH! Feels so crazy!

I go back Thursday for district professional development. Kids come back a week from next Monday. Have about 8 1/2 weeks left. Luckily I got my long try sub set up before school got out and am on a team that is going to help her with lesson plans. Need to still meet with payroll to figure out just how long I'm going to be out. Good luck with your first week back!
