I'm currently on break for teaching (during August), so I have been watching TV shows or movies at night. It's such a treat.
I discovered that HuluPlus offers Top Chef and Top Chef Masters. I am catching up on some of the old Masters episodes since my library doesn't carry the videos. I watched American Hustle last week and really liked it. I'm also hoping to pick up the Frozen DVD from the library tomorrow. Any movie rental recommendations?

@URMySunshine77 If you don't mind older, artsy films, Netflix has the Criterion Collection which I find to be great!
We spent the weekend house hunting (no luck) and went for a long run. Then we rewarded ourselves by going to a restaurant by one of the Top Chef winners, Volt in Frederick, MD. They have a beautiful patio and the service was excellent. The food was very good but we had higher expectations. Overall, I'd recommend it, but I think it's a bit overpriced for the quality of the food. The ambiance is wonderful, though, so perhaps that's worth paying for.
We also had a chat about TTC. I'm on CD2 and have been charting for the last two months. This is the first cycle where we can actually try (due to logistics)! My last two cycles were both 26 days with O on day 14 according to FF, so I hope I can count on that for this cycle too. Exciting and scary to actually be TTC!
Productive and fun. My daughter’s 3rd
birthday party was on Saturday, so Friday night and Saturday morning/afternoon
was spent cleaning, deweeding, organizing, cooking like a mad woman!
I had sweat rolling off me!
Then—my best friend (who was making her
cupcakes for the party) got in a fender bender, and barely made it on time with
the cake. I am just glad she is okay!
The party was perfect. We had Subway subs
catered in, and I made all the sides. It was a princess-pool party, so my DD
was dressed as a princess and we had a Slip N’ Slide out back and a kiddie
pool. All the kids had a blast! Here are a few pics:
Sunday was post-party cleaning, and then I met
with the client. This client initially only wanted a new logo. After talking to
her, she then wanted brochures, business cards, AND a website!!! WINNING! After
paying for a wedding, any extra money is very welcomed right now.
I am completely exhausted after the weekend. My sister was in Maine. so FI and I drove up on Friday from Philly area...what should have been about 8 hours, was 11! Then we drove back yesterday. To top it off, we have our own chiro practice (he's the Dr, I'm office mgr) and we have only 1 other employee - our therapist. She had emergency surgery last Sunday and will continue to be out through this week. So I've been doing both her job (running our PT area) and my front desk duties. I'M EXHAUSTED!!! And - AF showed up yesterday afternoon, so I showed up at my RE this morning, without an appt, because they stressed the importance of seeing me on CD2. So, if my numbers look ok, I start the IVF meds tonight - because I'm not stressed enough... When it rains it pours!!! Just trying to remain as relaxed as possible...

Saturday was a blast. I'm a bridesmaid for a friend's wedding in the spring. So the bride, her mom, and all of us bridesmaids went for lunch, followed by bridesmaid dress shopping. We all agreed on a designer at record speed, then the bride let each of us pick which dress we wanted. Afterwards, we all went back to my place for snacks, bellinis and a Say Yes to the Dress marathon. We also practiced doing the bride's hair. It was kind of like a big slumber party.
Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN.
Update 11/14 - had laparoscopy 10/28, good news is that my uterus and left tube look good, and they were able to drain the cyst on my left ovary. Bad news is that right tube and ovary have endo and scar tissue, so they're pretty useless.. Best news is that we finally have some answers and a path forward. Taking 7.5 mg letrozole CD 2-6 to put that good left ovary through its paces.
UPDATE 2/2015 - We switched to another fertility clinic, but fortunately we don't have to start all over. We're doing two cycles of Clomid plus IUI, if neither of those take, we'll do IVF in April, potentially with ICSI. (DH's SA has gone downhill, likely due to excessive exercise.) IUI#1 2/25/15....
@URMySunshine - I get catching up on movies/shows. I only watch tv about 2-3 times a week, and it's Netflix. I am currently watching American Horror Story.
I had a busy family weekend. I went to my brother's graduation for airplane mechanic school and then my sisters were in town. It was fun but I hate that I haven't had much time to spend with my H since I'm leaving for 2 weeks for work. This is my last trip here and I'm over it.

Frozen is awesome! Enjoy! It isn't Easter season, but if you haven't seen Hop, I recommend it.
Austrogermokee- I like the dress too! Looks like you can wear it again to another event.
marijaa333- We had the TTC chat this weekend too. This is the first week when we will be TTC becuase my IUD was removed right before the start of my last AF.
lgsdesigner- Putting on a kid's party is hard worker! I'm glad it went well, but I'm sure you could use a day or two to recover!
@lgsdesigner I love that series. What season of AHS are you on? My favorite one was the 2nd.
I cleaned most of Saturday and got some fruit cut up and frozen that was about to expire. It was also my Grandma's birthday so we took her out for breakfast. It was also our tax free weekend so I went shopping on Sunday. I actually found 3 tops at Kohl's for less than $10 each and a few pants in a larger size for DD. A pretty productive weekend for us.
Very busy with the process if buying a home. The owners accepted our offer, so yesterday we had the house inspected. All in all it was a good report, just a few minor repairs. Next step up is signing the contract
My weekend was good as some of you know we were camping and it was my birthday. I drank and ate too much. I only went for one 2 1/2 mile run. So I'm scared to get on the scale this week. I finally got to my 30lb loss before we went and I think I gained a few back. But it was worth it!!!!
Saturday consisted of yard work and dinner out. Sunday our neighbors took the girls to hang out with their kids so DH and I could go fishing. Later that afternoon I took the girls to birthday party and was home by dinner time. The rest of the night was spent outside. We stayed up to see the Supermoon but it got to be a bit too late. Luckily I woke up at 3am so I did get to see it. It really was beautiful. Sadly we won't be able to see the meteor shower. Anyone in an area where they can see it easily?
@SillySally24 you should have waved as you were driving by NH!
On Saturday, we went to Portsmouth for some waking around for those of you that don't know Portsmouth, NH is this really cool artsy town. Then grabbed some lobster at the beach.
Sunday was just an errand day, then DH washed my car while I took a nap. He's so thoughtful!
@hooligans4@Davie813@Icwed@meredithcarole thanks for the congratulations. It's a long process and were in the beginning stages. So much more to do and paying fees left and right ( . But soon it will be well worth it . The house is in Centereach, close to my job. @Icwed good luck selling your home.
