I wake up multiple times a night to find I'm on my back. Any of you found a way to avoid it?

Re: Sleeping on your back
I do sometimes and I just move back onto my side. Sometimes it's hard to control when you're sleeping, but I have found sleeping with my body pillow (or something similar) keeps me on my side most nights. Actually, it's getting hard to move in general most nights!

My OB said that your body should wake you up if you're on your back, and to just listen to it and roll back over. That doesn't solve the problem of the sleep disturbance of night wakings because you're on your back, though! I hope you find a solution that works for you soon.

I generally wake up on my back. I have back issues, but I still sometimes find that it relieves a bit of tension when laying on my back....rolling over on to my side, though, is when I really feel the back pain from having been on my back.
So far, it doesn't affect my heartrate or breathing, so I'm not too concerned about it.
