We went and visited my parents this weekend and J got into their woodchips outside. He came home with lots of itty bitty splinters in his feet My dad's tip was to get him in the bath tub for a bit and then rub baby oil on his feet. Then use a pair of nylons and rub his feet like you're using a washcloth. The splinters came right out!!!
What strange tips and tricks have you learned in the last 15-ish months?
My Lo was just told he had eczema at his 15 month apt..our pedi said to bath him each day luke warm water with no soap--i still use it in his hair and then immediately pat him dry--not completely dry and lather him in lotion-vanicream.. the rash he had went away in like a day and it hasnt come back. I didnt know you were suppose to leave a little water on there and that it was so important to get the lotion on right away-she said something like you have 3 mins to get it on there.
@jedimindtrick - the watermelon cutting trick is awesome! My DH just did that over the weekend and I was super impressed. He also learned about microwaving corn on the cob, and that worked amazingly well, too!
Microwaving corn on the cob works! No more shucking.
Search "how to cut a watermelon" and a video of a guy in the kitchen will come up. It's a way you cut it and then just dump it all all the pieces come out.
Re: Tips and Tricks
NBR: but have you seen that cutting watermelon trick? I've done it and it works.
Mine is from Pinterest -Boy moms can use this tip for themselves and it does double duty for girl moms.
