3rd Trimester

pelvic and back pain and very little movement

I am a ftm and will be 33 weeks tomorrow. I have felt very little movement all day. I have also been experiencing low back pain and pelvic pain all day. I have drank orange juice and eaten ice cream and laid in my left side with nothing. Should I be worried?

Re: pelvic and back pain and very little movement

  • I'm also a FTM, so I understand how scary it can be when the baby isn't as active as normal. I was told that the baby should move at least ten times per each two hour period. With that said, my midwife said that the term "kick count" can be misleading, as a roll or small squirm also counts as one of your ten.

I see that you posted this yesterday; I would definitely call if you're still worried about it today. That's what your doc or midwife is there for, so there's no harm in calling and seeing what's up.

  • I believe that he has started moving again! But honestly it feels so weird sometimes like a little flutter or like I've lost my breath for a moment. I'm not sure what's normal and what's not. The pregnancy has been an easy one and haven't had any problems. So I'm assuming that it's all good at this point. The babies on my husbands side of the family for the last 3 generations have always been born early soo i think i'm just preparing myself for the worst.
