Anyone on a diet?

I hate having the cliche new year's resolution, but I really need to lose my baby weight. Now that I'm not longer breastfeeding/pumping I have no excuse not to diet. But it's so hard!

So if you're with me in the battle to lose weight this year I two questions:

1) What is your biggest weight loss struggle?

2) What is best weight loss secret/trick?

Re: Anyone on a diet?

  • 1) My biggest struggle is my husband. He can (and does) eat anything he wants without gaining weight. And when I make something healthy for dinner he's left wanting more.

    2) Generally I have the most success when I cut out processed foods. If it comes in a box or bag, it's generally going to be much less healthy and full of sodium.

  • 1. My husband desided to lose weight while I was pregnant  so not cool. he has lost 20 Lbs since last jan.

    2. If you can do weight watchers ol-line it is awesome B/f  my wedding I went from 140 to 124 in 4 months.

now i wish i was 140. I have 18 lbs to b there in 2 years. I have already lost my baby weight now i have to lose the  happy and newly wed weight.LOL

  • My goal is to lose the last 15 lbs of baby weight by July. My belly is so gross - I am sort of horrified by the way I look. I was small pre-pregnancy, so 15 lbs on me is a lot (and I'm only 5'3).

    1) What is your biggest weight loss struggle?

I have an extremely limited diet to begin with (gluten-free, lactose-free, no red meat, pork or fish) so I find it really hard to further limit what I eat. Since eating sucks for me, I have no will power to say "oh, I won't eat a gluten-free cookie" since I can't eat 670 other things.

    2) What is best weight loss secret/trick?

Working out has always worked for me in the past. I try to take classes at the gym so I know exactly how long I have to be at the gym and what to expect. I recruited my SIL to join my gym so we try and motivate each other to go.

  • I'm not dieting b/c I'm still pumping every 3 hours, but I am needing to lose some of this weight. I didn't even get a 3rd trimester and my stomach is disgusting.
  • Struggle: Lack of motivation to cook healthy meals. I'm a sucker for quick and easy. And we've been eating in front of the TV for way too long.

Secret: Fruit. I love fruit. It's my junk food of choice. I could eat a whole watermelon like it's nothing. So when I'm really craving sweets, instead of hitting the good stuff, I keep pre-portioned, washed, ready-to-eat fruit in the fridge, just grab a baggie or container and it saves me from binging. I'm also starting weight watchers today.

  • Kalki, you have twins so don't feel too bad =)

I hope everyone has a good week!
