Baby Names

Bradford

Geeze I feel like in post a question/poll every day. Sorry!

My dad's name was Bradford, nn Brad. He died when I was very young. I really would like to use a variation of his name if we have another boy. I'm not crazy about Bradley or Brady. The only other variations in saw online were Bradbury and Bradshaw.

Suggestions?

Re: Bradford

  • Those all sound like last names to me. Do you not want to use Bradford? What about just using the name Brad?

Bradford is growing on me. I'd definitely use it as a mn. I don't mind Brad, but it just feels like it's lacking something. Also one syllable first names don't sound great with my last name

  • Bradford would definitely be a nice mn as well! I think if you're going to honor your father, in my opinion, I would use his actual name instead of a variation.

Bradbury and Bradshaw sound like last names.  To honor your dad, I would use Bradford either as a fn or mn.
