This is funny! Lol im 32 weeks and so not ready. Lol not even sure furniture will be ready( Amish made)! Thankfully we have a bassinet! But sunce no furniture that means no decorating yet til i know where things will fit! How about you?!
So not ready! I have started buying a few things. I'm not anticipating a shower since this is #3, although we have NOTHING for the baby because it's been 10 years. I have some clothes and a couple of swaddling blankets. The crib is at a friend's house. My kids go back to school in two weeks and I feel like I'll be able to breathe and organize once I am in my house by myself for awhile!
I have bought a few things like clothes, car seat, hair bows, shoes, bibs. We just finished painting the nursery and are slowly moving stuff in there. I got her bedding in the other day and my mom is giving me a baby bed that was my nieces's. I am having a shower and it is in 2 weeks since we don't have anything. My son is 12 years old and so it is like starting all over plus we are having a girl this time. I hoping after my shower we will have everything we need. I am starting to get in panic mode since I will be 33 weeks Wednesday.
DH and I are moving into our new place this week. We have nothing done for our baby. Her room will be empty. This is the first grandbaby so my mom has bought every outfit she will need for 6 months.
Our shower is in September. So maybe we will be ready then....oh dear.
~First time mama, strikingly handsome husband, comedic pooch, krumpin' baby girl on her way~
I have a gigantic giraffe and a husband who is currently staring at a huge pile of dresser pieces from Ikea. Feeling pretty confident in our lack of baby preparedness at this point.
I'm pretty close to being ready. I have the diaper bag ready and I have most of the baby's hospital bag stuff laid out. I just have to put it in the bag. Then I'll pack dh and my bag this week. His room is completely ready.
I'm somewhere in the middle. The nursery is ready to go furniture wise, I just need to hang a couple wall art pieces. Clothes are mostly washed and put away.
But, a couple big items I still need are a crib mattress, a car seat and stroller, and a changing pad (putting it on top of the dresser). I'm waiting until after my shower on the 24th before I but anything else, just in case I get gift cards I can put toward the big items.
As far as mentally....not ready at all. Lol
28 years old. Married 5 years. DD born Oct 2014 via C-Section (footling breech) Baby #2 (AND #3...SURPRISE!) Due Nov 17, 2016. Found out it was twins at 18+5!
Someone told us to be ready by 28 weeks (since we're having twins) so we made that our goal. There are a few things left to do.. Like we don't have any bibs.. Or changing pads..and bottles and car seats are still in boxes. But the sheets are washed and the nursery is all put together.

We are getting there. Basic nursery is mostly ready. Major furniture is purchases and assembled. Minor items still needed for the nursery and I need to wash everything in a few weeks. Still have the work showers and maybe one from DH's family (they mentioned it once but nothing since). So we are holding off on picking up the infant carrier and other items on the registry- assuming we don't find sale first.
Married 10/06
Baby Girl "C" arrived on 10/07/14 (39 weeks, 6 days)
DH and I made a list last night of everything we want done before LO comes and spent the day starting to cross things off. His best friends have had a 30 week birth, and 32 week birth, and a wife on bedrest across the country from home from 28 weeks on... He doesn't believe that we really have 9 weeks to do things.
We still have a ton to do for LO, but that's because we have arranged for furniture delivery the end of September. It will be installed and put together that day, so and at that point I'll actually decorate. I still need to order an area rug, curtains, and wall hangings though. My shower is Sept 7 and we will buy any remaining registry items in the week or two post shower. The one thing that is mildly stressing me out is that we still have to interview peds.
I've also decided I want to finish decorating the rest of our house before the little guy arrives. That's actually stressing me out more than the nursery.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
Have some onesies but that's it. Figure there is plenty of time till the end of October. If baby comes too early, he will have to manage in a minimalistic fashion. Plus I figured I can get anything from amazon in 2 days
Nothing left to purchase, but we need to get new bolts for the crib. There's not really a nursery to put together, so no worries there. Diaper bag is packed, and my hospital bag is half packed. All that's left is arranging stuff in my room and the corner of the living room.
She has no name.. which is stressing me.. all of her clothes are in plastic bins in my 2yos closet- my 2 yo has no interest in moving out of his crib or room, which leaves me no place to put girl's clothes once they're washed.. her car seat is in the basement-in the box it'll all be fine, I plan to do a lot of work around the house this weekend while my husband ison a fishing ttrip to get stuff ready
We are still waiting to set up our move. So there's not much I can do. I've bought/ been given most of the things we need and they are all boxed/in a pile. I'll have to buy a few things once we move- new crib mattress, dresser, baby wash, towels. But that's really it. So I've just tried to do the prepping that I can do while not being where we will be living yet.
I have had some nesting urges--unfortunately for me it's not the right house. Lol. So hopefully I'll feel motivated to unpack and get everything together quickly once we finally do move.
I've been watching a lot of "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" lately. Those moms all somehow manage to survive the first few weeks.
So I figure, if worse comes to worst and I deliver early, we will send family to buy the car seat, diapers, and wipes, and set up my sister's old pack and play. I guess if you're not prepared, you just make it work!
That show blows my mind....I just don't understand! HOW did you not know?!
We are starting to get ready - I've sorted DD's clothes, and we've gotten her a toddler bed so the baby can have the crib. Still need to rearrange her room, put the clothes away, find/ sterilize the bottles, finish a blanket, pick a name and do her letters for above her crib. But diapers were on sale at costco this week, so we do have a box of size 1's!
The nursery is pretty much done. I am having 3 showers so I don't want to start buying things till after we have them so I don't have a car seat, stoller, well really most things. I have some clothes that have been washed and put away. I have my first shower in three weeks so I should feel somewhat better after that.
As far as mentally prepared, I am not. I still sit here and think, "Can I actually do this?" DH just keeps saying, "People have babies all the time...if they can do it...we can do it." This tends to help...at least momentarily.

It's the question of the ages. My child has barely stopped moving in the past 40 hours. I am going completely insane. Plus half the time, I feel like she's trying to burrow out my vagina or escape through the front of my abdomen. I can understand not feeling movement at 20 or even 25 weeks, but by 30 weeks, the child demands your attention! How do you not think, something is wrong here...
Right?! And if by chance they didn't feel the baby, what are the chances they also lacked to have a period for 9 months AND didn't notice any common symptoms (decrease in energy, morning sickness, being tired, etc.)? Just how?!

This strangely made me feel so much better. We are not ready at all. All we got was a little stuffed animal.
The registry is done... Does that count? Shower at the end of September. Im just nervous that we won't have time to get the remainder of the things we need before little man's arrival. But it'll all work out! We live in the age of online ordering and overnight shipping!!
We are getting there. The nursery furniture is put together and the major big ticket items have been purchased. Emotionally, I don't think I'm ready. DH will only be home for about 2 weeks total before my due date and I feel like we can't really connect or bond before the bebe gets here. It makes me feel less prepared.
Mentally, I feel ready. Everything else... yeah that's another story! DH doesn't want me to buy anything until after our baby shower (which is next month) so as of right now we just have a stroller, car seat, crib on the way, some clothes and some decorative items for the nursery. I'm trying to prep the nursery the best I can now because my work schedule is so intense in September/October.
Feeling a little nervous about getting the rest of the material items that but I'm a strong believer that things always work out. My biggest fear was finding daycare when I return back to work in January and my MIL just asked us this weekend what we thought about her retiring in December and watching the baby. *Dream come true*
We are in decent shape. I have another shower in early September, and once I have that I think I will feel pretty good. I will also feel a lot better once we have our newborn care class and breastfeeding class so I have some kind of expectation on what life is going to be like when this little beauty arrives!
The room is painted, and everything is put together. Everything has been washed, and put away. Bag is packed, car seat finally bought, and my bag is packed. My husband tells me I'm always overly prepared, and it's always way to early. He's a last minute type of person, and I had everything ready since June. I may have a problem. However, this last week/weekend I've been cleaning the carpets, getting everything organized, and put away or to donate the stuff that is just taking up space. I'll start freezer meals this coming week. I'm guessing that with my three year old, and I at home with the new baby it will be a little hectic at first so food prep is important. Hoping for the best. The house is prepared, and I'm ready for October.

I still need to get baby meds/cream and pp items for myself. My hospital bag is half packed. I don't want to over buy but I think I have enough baby clothes for now. The nursery is complete.
Mentally I'm okay with waiting... This is my last pregnancy so it's nice to enjoy this time saving each uncomfortable minute to every recess of my brain for when I'm old and gray :o3
Physically my body is so over this big boy and his need to shove out on all my body parts. I creak and groan with each movement at night...and most the evening...at least! :-S
Materially we just NEED to get his carseat, the girls' shirts for his newborn pictures, and whatever gift he is giving his sisters...I still haven't decided what that will be though 8-} I already have clothes through 9m and likely will buy more as he gets closer to each size so I know they're for the right season.
This is baby #4 though so I know what DH and I find necessary and what has worked best before. We also aren't having a shower/sprinkle even though it's our first/only boy. <:-P

Absolutely in love with our 'big' family!
I'm also a proud Auntie to a crazy little girl, her brand new baby sister, a little man on his way in the next month, and a sweet little mister we will miss forever!!!
Oh em gee you guys.. I'm not ready at all!! Luckily my Hubby's family threw us a surprise baby shower at the family reunion they had in July, so we have a pack of diapers in size 1 and a pack size 2, and wipes, a boppy, and a PNP. Then a good friend of mine who's daughter just turned a year old gave us some hand-me-down clothes so that's awesome... My actual showers are in September, the 7th and 14th, so I'm trying not to buy anything until then! Hopefully I'll get some sleepers and blankets, and diapers in newborn size, and my mom is purchasing the stroller and car seat for us (yippee!!) So hopefully we'll have everything we need! However, the baby's room is currently our storage room... So I'm leaving that up to hubby to clear out, as I've already sorted and boxed everything so he can go put it in a storage unit... He is a procrastinator, as am I, but he always pulls thru and gets it all done in a day. Hopefully it all works out! I'm kinda freaking out... We're "supposed" to have 10 weeks left...
ETA: we also need to buy a car... Mine is not reliable enough to drive a baby around in... Ugh. That's my biggest worry.
I am in OKAY shape I think. I'm waiting on the crib and dresser/changing table so all her stuff is kind of strewn about but the nursery is painted, the floor and rug are down, I have mostly everything bought. We are just waiting on our completion code from Babies R Us to get the rest of the stuff we need. Oh and I need to wash her clothes and sheets.
I did my hospital bag the other day. I just need to add her going home outfit once I wash it and pretzel chips (my pregnancy obsession) to snack on.
The thing that is stressing me out the most is worrying about what will happen with our dogs. It's just so unpredictable when she will come I'm finding it hard to get a plan in place for that.
Edited because my paragraphs failed the first time it posted
We have not installed the car seat, purchased any wipes, or packed the hospital bag. I need bottles, but I have 2 Avent freebies from registries in the event that I need the bottles immediately, otherwise they can wait a few weeks after birth.
I would LIKE to make a cover for the recliner in the nursery, but it's currently covered by a bed sheet and doesn't look terrible. If I don't get around to it, oh well.
i am minimally prepared. crib is set up. have the infant carseat out of storage but haven't installed the bases in the cars yet. we have no new clothes for tater but if he comes early there are plenty of lil' girl clothes he can wear in a pinch, hee hee. i need to collect the pack-n-play from my parent's house because that's what we'll use in our room as the bassinett. 32 weeks and my planning strategy is "if you wait until the last minute, it only takes a minute"
