3 am... why must we meet like this?

Silly me. DS had three days of sleeping for a long night stretch of 5-6 hours. He's typically a 1-3 hour long stretch kind of baby. I thought we had a trend going.

Hahaha. Hello 9pm, 11pm, 1am, and now screaming and awake at 3am. I wish I could just figure out wtf is going on!!

Sorry..rant from a tired mama!

Yep, we missed our initial long stretch last night too. I hope they both sleep better tonight

  • That sucks! Hope you have a better night tonight.
  • Ugh, you scare me...she was a 1-3er too and the last three nights I've got 4, 4, 5. Good luck momma, I am with you in the bad sleeper department.

Now today when I set DS down he's up within 5 minutes.

  • Mine was starting to do the opposite. She normally sleeps at least 6 hours but starting doing the 2 and 3 hour thing screaming awake. For her it ended up being bad gas pains so I give her some gas drops before bed and it helps A LOT! Back to sleeping normal and once I cut out dairy long enough I'm hoping to eliminate the drops. But it could also be a growth spurt. She started sleeping even longer stretches then when backward during her growth spurt. It's so unpredictable these days!

  • How many weeks? Could be a wonder week/growth spurt. That's when we regress to the feeding every 2 hrs, but once it passes, the longer stretches come back.

11 weeks. By the wonder weeks app we just got out of the 2nd leap. I think the screaming is gas pains. I'm eliminating dairy too and just got some colic calm. But last night he was up every 1-2 hours without crying. Just wanted to be rocked back to sleep. I think some nights it's gas and others he's used to it from that.

  • I think DS is going through his 3-month growth spurt cause he's been feeding way more than usual these past few days, is fussy at the boob, then, to top it off, he didn't go to sleep last night until 1am, then was up at 4am, 6am, 9am. Of course since DH works today all this was my responsibility...

ETA: and I can't get him to nap more than 20 mins today...

I could have written the exact same thing! LO is 14 weeks
