Bloodwork/US weekly timeline?

Hi ladies,

I go back for my 18dpiui BW on Monday (HCG/Progesterone), and my nurse said that once my HCG gets to 2,000 they will do my first ultrasound. My 14dpiui HCG was 213. I am just wondering how often you all went for your beta/ US in the beginning. I teach kindergarten, and we go back to school on the 25th, so I am curious if anyone had weekly visits, or if they got stretched further out once your HCG was where your dr. wanted it.

I only had two betas (from an FET). I think the numbers are in my siggy- first was a little over 300 and second was 899. No more blood draws/betas after that- probably because it is supposed to double every 48 hours or so. So if they had done another one, it would have been over 2000. That said, I had a(nother) two week wait between that last beta and my first ultrasound. Torturous!! Congrats on the good beta!!

I only had 2 betas. After the 2nd they said we will see you in 2 weeks for an ultrasound.  I went in for that appointment and was released to an OB.

I had 4 betas at 14dpo, 16dpo, 18dpo, and 21dpo. My clinic checks until it's over 1000. My last one at 21dpo was over 2000 (it's in my siggy) but my clinic waits until you are at least 6 weeks 3 days to do an US because there should be a heartbeat by then and there isn't always one before.

For IUIs, my RE does two betas to check for doubling in 48 hours, if you get positive HPT. Then she schedules the 1st u/s at 6 weeks. Same for IVF/FET, except that she won't have you do a HPT.

I had 3 betas, though my beta were always very high from the start (see siggy)

I think I had an ultrasound after the very first beta and one for the next couple of weeks. then I was tranferred to OB/GYN. I am pretty sure my RE did 3 ultrasounds and then was tranferred to OB/GYN at about 8 or 9 weeks, I think.

I think a lot depends on the practice. I've had between 2-4 betas depending on where they start and how fast they climb. My first u/s was always around 6.5-7 weeks. With my first two pregnancies I had an u/s every 2 weeks but this last one I had one a week to ease my stress.

I had two betas and first ultrasound ultrasound after 7w1d - then was transferred to regular OB.

My clinic does either 2 or 3 betas depending on how long it takes you to get up over approx 2,000. Then there are 3 OB ultrasounds with 10 days in between each. It wound up being about a month post BFP I guess, with the betas just being during morning monitoring time and then the u/s were a little later because the people currently cycling got the early u/s slots. Good luck - it's hard to make work with the beginning of the school year!

I had 2 betas (14dpt and 21dpt) and then my U/S was the following week.  Good luck!
