Mucus plug update in OP!!!

What I thought was my mucus plug was actually my subchorionic hemmorage coming out. Apparently they can look very similar. Ultrasound shows my hemmorage is GONE!!!

Today I held my year and a half DS for the first time since Easter... Also I was alone with him. (Someone has been nannying for me since then). I literally couldn't be happier. I'm still supposed to limit exercise etc but who cares!!! I can be alone with my little guy again!

I'm not in the same boat but depending on how much you lose, yes, it does regenerate. I also want you to know I'm thinking of you and am anxiously awaiting your news on Monday

I have no experience with this, but the fact that your OB is okay with you waiting until Monday for an ultrasound may indicate it isn't immediately bad news. I do recall a lot of our STM+ saying they lost parts of theirs long before they gave birth. Good luck!

This wait till Monday thing is lame. Grrrrr. If doctor thinks it can wait then hopefully that is a good sign. Praying eveything is ok with LO. We will be anxiously awaiting an update.

Hope everything is okay!! I lost mine when I was around 35 weeks with my first, was even 3 cm dilated around 36 weeks. Baby still went over due. So here's hoping you and baby are good! Good you're getting ultrasound just in case.

With my first I started losing pieces around 22 weeks and continued until around 30 weeks or so. It regenerated and I never had any threat of PTL.

Thanks everyone. I am high risk and on watch for PTL . OB is fine with me waiting until Monday for ultrasound. I will take it easy until then. Hope you are all feeling well and enjoying the weekend.

Are you having contractions as well? Even Braxton hicks? I know I'm on the opposite page as everyone else on this; but from my experience I have no other choice. I lost my first son the day after I lost my mucus plug. I called the dr as soon as it happened; it was a Friday and she told me that it was fine no way it could have been the mucus plug that it was just an increase in discharge. I told her no way it was an increase, it was huge and I'd like to be seen ASAP please. She said to call back Monday for an appnt, but I never made it to then. I was in labor and had no idea. I had been having Braxton hicks and didn't realize at the time that I had incompetent cervix and these were opening my cervix. By the time I got to the hospital about 18 hrs after losing my mucus plug, I was already 4cm dialated and my water broke shortly after that. I'm praying that all is well with you; but I always err on the side of caution. Praying baby stays put and no more issues arise for you.

Thinking of you! No experience yet, but I go for an ultrasound Thursday to check the same thing (& placenta placement).

Thanks for your post. So sorry for your loss. At the moment I still feel great. I have a couple of Braxton hicks per day but very random. OB is also aware of this.

I will go right to the hospital if I feel that the Braxton hicks are increasing or I have any other changes.
