My 4.5 month old uses a pacifier for naps and bedtime. The problem is, she wakes up when it falls out (when she is in the lighter sleeping cycles). How can I break her of this? I have tried pulling it out when I know she is deeply asleep. She is fine until she is sleeping lightly again and then she keeps waking up. Suggestions? TIA
You can try using a Wubanub or you can wait until she is old enough to pop it back in herself (you'll have to keep doing it in the meantime).
Or you can get rid of it. It's a sleep association she's gotten used to, so when she wakes up and it's not there, it's upsetting. If you don't want to have to keep putting it back in for the next few months, you could consider dropping it.
