Okay, so we have been trying for over a year and a half now and I am seriously ready to get serious!!! LOL I've started charting this month as I have a fertility appointment with my obgyn next week and they advised me to start it up again. I tried to do it a few months ago, but I wake up so frequently to pee that I got sick of doing it because I never had a consistent time to temp where I had 3 hours of sleep. I'm still having the same issue, but I am really trying to get my temps as accurately as possible. Though my times are not all accurate I am making sure to have at least 3 hours of sleep before temping and I make sure that I take my temp before my first pee.
Okay, so here's what I need! I would really appreciate you checking out my chart in the link below and letting my know what you think. Am I doing okay so far? What's up with my temp dropping again? Did I actually ovulate?! Any advice on temping!
Re: Check out my chart....I need some help!
If you've been TTC for 1.5 years I also would recommend skipping the OB appointment and seeing a reproductive endocrinologist (RE). They will help you more than an OB.
I was charting for the past year and from your chart it does have a spike but the temps aren't showing a sustained shift. Unfortunately, waking up in the middle of the night can change temps. Also, there are many variations of shifts including a slow rise and fallback rise. For me, until I had like 5 temps past O I never trusted the crosshairs because I didn't always have the huge shift that others do. Anyway, I would keep having sex until you're positive you see a shift.
Also, what are your cycles like normally length wise?
Good luck with everything!
However, if you decide to see a RE and/or start treatment temping isn't really necessary so you may not find it's worth spending a lot of time learning about at this point. Anyway...good luck!
Well, I think from what I've read on here the vitex isn't always a good idea? (Someone else jump in with more info!)
Those cycle lengths do seem irregular. It's hard to say if you ovulated or not, sometimes you can get a positive OPK and not actually ovulate too. There are many variables with charting! However, if you got a positive opk and your temp goes back up then it would be easier to confirm.
I'm with everyone else, skip the OB and go straight to the RE. They are much better equipped at getting you pregnant.
