Re: GTKY (August 8)
2. I think the way we interact and talk to our cats might be something best kept private.
3. Well, outside of our wills and POA's I have checked off all the pre-baby critical to-do's on my list (including getting a new phone and a new car, which I did not think I'd accomplish!). I still have a list a mile long of "nice to have's" but those aren't showstoppers. Seeing some friends, walking the lake and going to yoga, and getting in our last bits of time with J before it all changes - that's what's up for us!
Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!
June'12 - First RE Visit
Sept. '12 - Tubes removed
Dec. '12 - Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - 4 good embies!
Dec. '12 - Fresh transfer, BFP! EDD 8/29/13
Mar. '13 - Missed m/c at 16w1d, baby boy stopped growing at 15w4d
Loss due to umbilical cord clot...baby was perfect.
Jul '13 - FET#1 - c/p
Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN
Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!!

EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle
1. If you could have one song be the "theme song" for your day what would it be?
The first song that popped in my head this morning was "I Was Made for Sunny Days" by The Weepies. The first time I heard it was at the mall in Bath and Body Works and it immediately reminded me of camp, summer, and how happy my wife makes me. I had it downloaded before we left the store. It is a perfect theme song, for a not blazing hot, August afternoon!
2. Is there something that you and/or your partner does that is weird or embarrassing (meaning you wouldn't necessarily do it in front of other people)? Example: songs, dances, a weird routine.
There is so much peculiarity between @firstcomeslove2013 and myself that is embarrassing. Our house is not "normal". We sing, we dance, we interpretive dance, and we make each other do performances on commend sometimes. This morning, before getting out of bed, for no reason, we sang a lovely duet of the Little Mermaid's "Part of Your World" for no real reason...
3. What's up for the weekend?
We are headed up to North East Ohio to see A's family.... mostly her 89 year old Grandma, who is pretty much my Grandma too. She is the anti-thesis of sweet old lady. She is sassy, loves to gossip and is usually grumpy. Nana and I have a very special relationship so I am really looking forward to it. I also love spending time with A's parents!

2. We don't really do anything that we wouldn't do in public.... I'm pretty "reserved" so I'm not one to go and act all crazy.... And I don't have issues with PDAs so I have no qualms about holding her hand or kissing in public
3. Apparently J's dad is coming down for the weekend.... Sigh.... But aside from that, I'm going with my mom and sister to go school clothes shopping for my niece! She's so excited for kindergarten.... My sister said it's going to be a long weekend for her lol (she apparently keeps asking if it's time for school yet!)
2. Is there something that you and/or your partner does that is weird or embarrassing (meaning you wouldn't necessarily do it in front of other people)? Example: songs, dances, a weird routine. I'm sure. However we have some pretty great friends that whenever I do something embarrassing and stupid, they know about it----even if I do it and they are not there!
3. What's up for the weekend? One of Ms long time friends is coming to stay and visit. We have a graduation dinner for another one of our friends tomorrow. Sunday will be a resting day as this is my last weekend before the school year starts back up. Hopefully won't go on bedrest soon
Married to M and proud mothers to Olivia and Elise (8/19/2014) and to our fur-babies: Capone (pitbull), Jax and Atticus (cats)

"Things separate from their stories have no meaning. They are only shapes. Of a certain size and color. A certain weight. When their meaning has become lost to us they no longer have even a name. The story on the other hand can never be lost from its place in the world for it is that place.” ― Cormac McCarthy, The Crossing
