diy inserts?

I am thinking about making my own cloth diaper inserts to go into pocket diapers, im thinking either bamboo or hemp but wondering if I bought a yard of fabric how many inserts I can get, like how many layers of fabric do I use or do I need other fabroc in between, I have tried searching google but dont get a straight answer on how to make them! Tia!

Partly depends on how much your fabric shrinks when you prep it. You would want to prep it before cutting it. Also, ITK posted a good DIY tutorial. While ago. You might be able to find t if you do a search. I'm mobile right now and can look it up later for you if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

I bought a yard of bamboo fleese off amazon to make inserts. I wanted more of apple cheeks style insert so I made them 12"x15" and three layers. I got four insets out of my yard and used the scraps for family cloth. But could have gotten 4or5 8x8 wipes. I followed the sewing direction in the above tutorial.
