Long story short. P got locked in the car this afternoon. I don't know how the car locked because the keys were inside the car and it's not supposed to lock if they're in there. The MPs ended up breaking the glass after the firemen couldn't get the door pried open fast enough. He was in there about a total of 10 min and was okay, just scared from them breaking the glass. So now I have to figure out insurance and get everything fixed. And did I mention my husband is deployed? Not activities I wanted to add to my resume but am thankful that he was okay.

Had the glass replaced today and learned it is cheaper to break the main window that rolls up and down. And you don't need a lot of force to break it. Which I think I knew, but it didn't come to me at the time. You live and you learn! My husband laughed when I told him we made the blotter.
A couple of weeks ago, my mom had my son and my niece with her along with my sis-in-law. They were putting the kids in the car seats and my mom was letting my LO play with her car keys while she strapped him in. You can imagine where this is going. He locked to door, she shut the door at the same time my SIL did and immediately realized both kids were locked in the car along with both their cells. Luckily a couple was walking by, called 911 for my mom and a tow truck and a police cruiser were there within three minutes. My mom and SIL were both hot messes, bawling and my son was sitting in his carseat repeatedly hitting the lock button because it makes a beep noise. I know my mom was so upset, but I couldn't help but smile bc I can only imagine what she was like as this was unfolding. Shit happens, everything was fine.
