WWYD - concert

OK, I'm considering going to a concert next week and taking DD with me.  It's open admission, lawn seating, so DD could sit on a blanket/sleep whatever.  And it's Sara Bareilles, so it's not like it's Metallica or something.  Should be a mellow/friendly crowd.  But it doesn't start until 7, so it's kind of a late night for an 18 month old.

What do you think?  Bad idea?  Anyone done something similar?

I don't think 7 is too late - but DS goes to bed at 9-9:30. My concern would be chasing my 18 mo all around the grass - DS doesn't sit still for very long. I'd take your LO if she would be content in a carrier. If not maybe you could hire a sitter?

I'd be concerned chasing J around all night as it's his favorite thing to do, especially at events. When we go to Friday night concerts in the park, this is all he does and I honestly don't get any enjoyment out of the evening. I do however get lots of exercise!!

Haha!  Well, my friend at work who we'd go with just stopped by to tell me that all the reviews say that Sara has a potty mouth in concert, plus DD has to have a ticket to get in, so it would be expensive.  I'm leaning toward not going...

Thanks all - based on your input and lack of babysitter, I'm not going.  I'm bummed, but I think concerts are just not something that's going to happen for awhile for me!

DD goes to bed around 7:30 or 8 so that would be too late for me but otherwise I think it would be fine.

I wouldn't take DD but she goes to sleep at 630.
