Hope you don't mind my direct appeal for advice but you're as comforting as a warm blanket out of the dryer.

<---- creepy?
So, per daycare's instructions, we sent DS to school with undies today. We tried to put either a pull up or underwear on at home and he screamed like we were killing him. DH called to check in and the teacher said, "you're right he really doesn't want to do it huh?" Like...yes we tried to tell you that. Then, she said he's doing ok. He's reluctant to sit on the potty but won't do anything on it and has had one accident so far.
Tonight will probably be hell. If he's reluctant at daycare he will be a shit show at home. What signs do I look for to keep going or give up? Although daycare has not acted like giving up and trying again later is an option.

DS is 1DAF

Re: @TyrannosaurusLex
He sat on the potty for me a few minutes ago and, as always, said "where's the water? There's no water comin out." I also got him in a pull up with much difficulty. My thought is we will move to pull ups and do lots of potty trips and praise if/when he ever actually goes. But I don't want to do underwear right now. We'll have to talk to the director tomorrow to see what is going to happen if he is not PT-ed in the next few weeks. What do you think?
Thanks soooo much btw!
