PR Getting a kid to like the beach

Right now, DD HATES the beach with the passion of 1,000 fiery suns. Which is a problem because we live in a beach community and the beach is a huge part of our recreation. So, now Reese has been given an amazing opportunity. One of the non-profits we are associated with and help with assistance to families with childhood cancer. Anyway, we got a call from them--the board of directors all suggested Reese to be in a music video (which will be associated with the organization). I know Reese would love it because she loves dancing, acting, singing and isn't shy at all. The catch....

IT IS ON THE FREAKIN' BEACH!

So now we have about a month to at least TRY to have my kid tolerate the beach. (doesn't have to even like it--just stay on the beach for longer than 30 seconds)

Any ideas?

Is it the sand? The wind? The ocean?

I guess I wouldn't really force it. She doesn't like the beach so it really isn't going to be that amazing for her.

Just the sand. She doesn't like getting dirty. We did tell them that they may want to have a back up. We did say we would try. I am in the belief that I am 99% sure she won't end up doing it

Have her wear sand/water shoes or have her stand on a big beach blanket.

DD hated the beach for a bit too. We lived directly on the ocean for her first 20 months, so we had to figure out a way. The town I lived in had a 2.3 mile boardwalk right on the beach. We would take her for walks all the time and she would see all the other kids playing on the beach. Eventually, she wanted to go play with them. It took a while though, but she might respond to seeing other kdis having fun.

Your kid may be too old for this, but I showed p a bunch of YouTube videos of fun beach stuff (songs, animals, etc) and a book about the beach. I tried to make it sound really fun and special.
