YES! She was awful awful awful in Mamma Mia, the whole movie sucked big time.  So I don't have high hopes for Into the Woods.  The only recent movie musical I like is Hairspray, otherwise I think they that go for big names and it really shows in decreased vocal quality of the productions..  

ETA: also- I don't like Amanda Seyfreid's voice, didn't like it in Mamma Mia and didn't in Les Mis.  It's just too weak, when compared to the powerhouse voices they have in Broadway producations.

Mamma Mia was pretty awful....and I agree about Amanda Seyfreid....I'm not a fan of super breathy sopranos.....then again I'm pretty critical of sopranos b/c I am one.

Speaking of sopranos, what is up with casting Anna Kendrick as Cinderella in Into The Woods?  Cinderella is a soprano role and Kendrick... isn't.

Yeeks about Anna Kendrick....I like her, but you're right, she's not a soprano!

My sister played Cinderella in her college production of Into the Woods.....she actually kinda looks like Anna Kendrick....funny.....
