going out with baby before vaccines

hey ladies,

my LO doesn't get his vaccinations for another couple of weeks but i am going stir crazy and want to take him out!  so far we have only brought him shopping, out to dinner, on walks, to family and friends, etc.  i want to take him to events this weekend that will involve a lot more people (ball games, fairs, etc.).  should i wait until he gets his 2 month shots or am i over thinking this?  what have you all done?

Take him out! Either wear him or toss a thin blanket over the car seat so people don't touch him. Enjoy!

I take the baby everywhere. I think this is one of the positives of having a summer baby... I'd be way more nervous in the winter!

J goes everywhere. Mama needs to get out. Throw them in a carrier and no one will touch them.

We have been every where! Including the zoo 5 days after she was born! I just tell people who get too close that she hasn't had her vaccinations yet.

We've been out since she was born, starting at six days post section. Liberate yourselves, ladies!

Take him out. Just cover his car seat or wear him. Take precautions like it was flu season and you should both be fine

She has been everywhere. Even to camp drop off/pick ups with germy kids. I can't sit home for two months with a three and four year old.

I was just nervous to bring him places with large crowds. So glad to hear I was being overprotective!

Just wash your hands often and take baby out! It makes you feel really good because of all the people who stop you to look and ask about your baby. At least for me, a weekend trip really improved my baby blues and I feel like a new woman now, and I know I have a beautiful little baby too!
