Colin or Collin?

Would you spell it Colin or Collin? Also, do you think he'll always be correcting people? Would that be annoying? I'm only 5 weeks so I'm jumping the gun here, but boy names were so much harder for us when I was pregnant with DD.

Is it too close to DD Caroline??

Re: Colin or Collin?

  • Colin, but I probably wouldn't persoanlly use it if I had a Caroline.  Too many of the same letters.

  • Colin.  It's a little matchy with Caroline.

  • It's a little matchy but I wouldn't say unusably matchy. I prefer Collin.

  • Definitely one L. Yes, a little match for my taste but I wouldn't side eye it.

  • Colin is best.  It is a little matchy with Caroline.

I'd try to use them interchangeably and see if it trips you up.  I love Colin but I scratched it because I have a dog named Carl and a nephew named Connor and it was a bit much for me.
  • I must be an oddball here, but I prefer Collin. Colin just screams colon in my head for some reason. (sorry) With that said, it is a bit matchy with Caroline.

  • Colin definitely.  Collin looks wrong to me, like the LN Collins without the S.  But I do think it's matchy with Caroline - both great names, though.

Not with Caroline and not ever actually far too 1970s for me.
