Isaac has typically slept no longer than 2-3 hours in a stretch at night, a couple times a week he may have a 4 hour stretch, but that's the first stretch so half of it I'm still awake for.
I have no idea what was going on last night, but he was up 8 times in the 7.5 hours I was trying to sleep. I would usually get about 45 minutes before he'd be up again for 10-15 minutes to nurse.
Between all the possibilities, I don't know which is the most likely, teeth, low BM supply, growth spurt... Whatever it was I hope that was the only night of it.
Aw you poor thing! ! Now I feel bad for whining to my family about the 5 wakeups per night I've had the past few weeks. I think it is primarily teething over here, mixed with tummy rolling. She has no teeth yet but has been chomping the crap out of my poor nipples...have had a milk blister for a month now with no clue how to get rid of it...
Anyway, I have heard teething makes sleeping more difficult at this stage but babies always have something going on, so I'm never really surprised when she goes through changes in her sleep patterns. Here's hoping you get some sleep and/or coffee soon!
Ugh yeah my lo still doesn't soothe himself and we were doing every 45 minutes or less because he couldn't get past the twitching stage of falling asleep. That coupled with separation anxiety he only wants me. So that makes one exhausted frustrated mommy. I wish it were as easy as one night but so far no such luck, I looked it up and we are in a wonder week coinciding with the separation anxiety. He cries if I even turn my back to grab something.oh the joy!
I can count on one hand how many nights I got a full night sleep since I was 7 mo pregnant. I'm dying of exhaustion. DD refused to go back to sleep. I put in ear plugs, H went in...tried everything. She just wanted to eat. That was at 3:30am...I got to sleep around 5:30. DD slept til 11:30am. >:P
At least we aren't alone! I have had BM supply issues lately. We go back for a weight check Monday. I am really hoping it isn't that keeping him up. I will say I am lucky that he eats then I can usually put him back down and he will go back to sleep on his own.

The days I was able to sleep were the days I gave her 2 oz of formula after I nursed before bed. She refuses formula now. :-/
Still up about every 2-3 hours here as well! Ugh... not fun. He was sleeping closer to 3-4 hours and then we reverted back to the 2-3. I just keep telling myself that this isn't forever, he needs me and he usually falls back asleep right after eating. Hopefully he'll get into some longer stretches when I go back to school!
