We have had two prior losses (one confirmed from triploidy) but things have gone really well this pregnancy so far. I had my fifth u/s yesterday at 11w5d and all is looking good. We have an nt scan next week and the draw for either verify or materni21. I'm AMA. Here's my dilemma. My family is having a huge party on the 23rd. My parents would love to announce the good news. I will be 14w at that point. Would you announce without receiving the blood test results or would you wait? We won't get them until a week after the party. I'm just not sure and I hate feeling indecisive.

I think if you have a good NT scan (which I'm sure you will) that you should be fine to announce! If it were me anyway. Enjoy it!!

If your losses were always in the 1st tri, I'd announce assuming the NT scan goes well. Good luck with your decision!

Nothing new to add to the posts above.. But I think you are ok after your nt.. Good luck!! PGAL brain is very hard sometimes.. I was a little shaky after we announced.

We told our immediate families at 14 weeks.  I wanted to wait until the Panarama results at 16 weeks to announce to other family and friends. At almost 20 weeks I haven't even told everyone who I want to.  Obviously we are overly cautious.  

Do what you feel comfortable with. You can just tell family that day and wait to tell friends and the world until you get the results back.

Family already knows on both sides. I'm already starting to show and people are asking. If all goes well we are going to announce a week from Saturday. T&P appreciated!

I feel like a kid in Christmas Eve! I'm just ready for the scan to be here already.

The earliest I could get in was 12w6d which is tomorrow. We will have blood drawn for one if the tests--not sure yet which one since this will be my first mfm appointment. I'm trying to not let my PGAL brain take over and just hold out hope that everything comes back ok. Tomorrow afternoon just can't come fast enough!

NT scan came went well and everything looked normal. So crazy to be normal! Had MaterniT21 drawn too and they said I'll have results next Thursday. Perfect timing for the Saturday party. Feeling so happy and blessed. We breathed a little sigh of relief today. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!

Got my results early today and they were negative.  I'm breathing such a sigh of relief!  My DH and dad have a speech all prepared for the party on Saturday night.  Can't wait!

I got my M21 test results back in 5 days..... I would do what you're comfortable with. The NT scan came after my M21 results, but the NT can give some peace of mind. Good luck!
