Sorry for your loss. I had chemical was told to wait a cycle. So don't know. I think a lot of women have gotten pregnant next cycle and was fine. I did wait had cp in July then pg September with blighted ovum discovered october( not to scare you Hun just to show waiting doesn't mean viable either:( good luck!

I am so sorry for your loss. Another place you may find comfort is TTCAL board. I would listen to your doctor they know your body best. That being said if you do not like her answer seek a second opinion. No one here will tell you to go against your doctors advise even through some of us understand that want to try right away. ((Hugs)) to you.

Please, always follow your doctors' advice when they tell you to wait.  No one here will tell you otherwise.

I'm so sorry for your loss! Like the PPs, I would not advise you to go against your doctor's instructions. If you really think she is wrong, maybe seek a second opinion. I'm not sure whether the doctor you mention is a family doctor or an OB/GYN, but if it was your family doctor who gave you the advice, maybe see what your OB/GYN says. Best wishes. I hope you have a healthy and successful pregnancy very soon!

Ditto PP; we tried and conceived this little one the cycle after CP, but my OB had given us the green light to try again as soon as we were ready since the m/c was so early and my levels were below 5. I'm so sorry for your loss and hope to see you back here when you're ready.

Thank you all so much for your support and advice, it's really means a lot
It was a family dr (my PCM) that told me to wait, I never saw an OB since it all happened so quickly and the way my insurance is, I can't see an OBGYN without a referral from my PCM. So that's all I've got, I guess I would take her advice more seriously if she had even seen me, but all she did was read the lab results for my HCG level and had her nurse call me and say to wait a cycle.
I think I will just listen to my body and see how I feel around my fertile time, I still have a week or two, depending on how my body reacts after this.

I'm sorry for your loss. Your doctor doesn't need to see you to know that your body needs time to recover from a miscarriage, even when the pregnancy is brief. Please follow your doctor's orders.

Yes, some women go on to have healthy pregnancies immediately after a loss, but some don't unfortunately. If, God forbid, you do have another loss after getting pregnant right away, are you going to be able to handle those emotions?

I had a cp in November and we TTC immediately. I had a second cp in December. It was completely devistating and then it only took longer to get my body back to normal, go through testing, etc. Follow your doctors instructions. S/he is not giving them to make it harder for you and YH.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'd also echo the suggestion to seek out the TTCAL board. Those women are amazing.

I didn't cut and paste, I just went to the other board and gave my story there, considering I will be posting more there.... Since I'm TTC and not pregnant. I posted here first bc I figured people who had gotten pregnant after being in my situation would be here and could give better advice. I just gave my story and how I was feeling at the other board and happened to receive similar advice.
I'm not looking for someone to tell me to go for it, I'm just looking for a place to voice my thoughts and feelings about it because I have no on irl to talk to this about.

Thank you to the others, I know I would feel more heartbroken if something happened and I didn't wait like the dr recommended. I guess I'm just really stubborn and without true and exact facts, I just don't care to follow something.
I'm just going to see how I'm feeling in a week or two and decide then.

I'm sorry for your loss, but you really have to listen to your doctor's orders. After my first cp, we were cleared to try again right away. We did, and that resulted in our third angel. So take it from some one who's been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, and the therapy sessions. Take some time to heal.

You are welcome to post here anytime you have pregnancy questions, but you received wonderful advice from the TTCAL ladies and posting the same thing here wasn't necessary. I'm sorry you didn't hear what you think you want to hear.

It sounds like you didn't really come here for our advice and experiences. You've already made up your mind what you are going to do and you just wanted to hear other people back you up. If that's all you want, try babygaga.

I'm mobile so I can't highlight or bold above text but what sort of "true exact facts" are you looking for? Also, why do you think a bunch of internet strangers would have any more or better facts than a medical doctor?
